    I thought they were nofollowed.

    I could be wrong.

They are "nofollow" links so no juice is coming from it (for now). I saw the back link yesterday while doing some research

    Thumbs up Your Right but......

yes twitter is no-follow, however I mean in general!

no-follow links still add to your reputation as a site etc and in effect the twitter page has more authority than the Gambling Portal it represents.......

Does this mean good things for the future of my gambling portal / a marketing tool that works and leads to sales ?

Does it mean that it will lead to a boom of traffic from people that stumbles across your page in search engines ?

I guess that depends on what you put on Twitter.

I have been told that social bookmarking lets Google know that your site is obviously popular!

But i just checked my Twitter Page, and although my website is PR4, my Twitter Page is N/A.

I can understand that Twitter itself is PR9, but how can you get a single page ranked?

Plus they benefits are more than worth it!

Submit the ones you currently have and then remember to submit the new ones you create as you go etc....

Took me a long time too but like I said its worth it

Your Twitter pages gain PR value from the links of pages of other members as well as other internal Twitter links.

The links in posts don't pass any link juice because they are nofollowed, and still the links get auto-shortened so it doesn't even count as a valid link to your site by Google. It would make sense for Twitter to do this to prevent users from spamming Tweets for the purpose of link juice and SEO or creating mass amounts of accounts just for the profile link.

The link in your Twitter profile to your website will still count as a quality link coming from an authority page so it will help in building the trust of your site. The best way to use Twitter for marketing is to provide users with compelling content which can then lead to up-selling a visitor later. Twitter is great for content such as (dating tip of the day, coupon or deal of the day, motivational quote of the day, etc).

For online casino players, Twitter would be good for things like (bonus offer of the day/week, or new affiliate program offer, etc).

Twitter is only good for gathering a large following who is interested in the content you Tweet, and then every so often try to convert that traffic with sales offer tweet. Other than that, Twitter won't help you all that much in growing your business.
