John is excellent and only trying to help you KK, he has stepped in many times to help me out in situations with Rival. Very good of him to do I think when it don't even concern TIV.

OK, having slept on this, and not having heard a peep from the casino on this issue for yet another 3 days I am going to take you up on your generous offer of help.
I will shortly PM you the full link which does not work.

Should you decide to accept this mission, you will have 24hrs to infiltrate Rival HQ and obtain the critical information without getting caught.

    Good luck John.

Thanks! I have passed on the info to Rival. I might hear an initial answer by end of the business day today (EST that is). I will pm you answers back on what they say since I won't be able to do any testing or verification myself.

3 weeks for something like this isn't acceptable. Rival does take issues like this seriously and I expect this to be a main priority once they see the request.

I hope you will get your answer soon......but I still do not understand why you make us al curious and worried by posting your concerns and when it comes to the real thing you wanna keep the "particular link" for yourself and only share this info with John....i think this is not very cool .

Anyway i hope you will find the answer you are looking for : if you do not give a damn about informing "us" better not post such things here but send a PM to your affiliate manager(s) only.

    R.
I appreciate & welcome your comments.

Please be aware that I did contact my affiliate manager on day 1 (Feb-5th) and have been in constant contact since. I had my own very good reasons for posting what I did the way I did. It may be right or wrong, but it is my prerogative to make mistakes.

As for 'giving a damn' - that is exactly why I posted in the first place, because of my concerns for my fellow affiliates.
If I kept it quiet, no-one else would know there is a potential problem with Rival's links which could possibly be costing them players.
If I posted the name of the casino, everyone would probably only look at the links from that one casino, potentially missing the problem elsewhere.
As I understand it (and I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong), Rival wrote the software and Rival have full control over the affy back-end, so this is a Rival problem, and not the casino's fault at all. In my opinion the casino is just as much a victim as I am.
I hope that clarifies my position on this.

If I may make an observation; I find it a little strange you referring to 'us' like you have been a member of this community for a very long time, when in fact you have even less posts than I do!

    Have a good one!

I am grateful to be aware of this problem and Kasino King for taking the time to spell it out for us in the first post.

I don't think we should be so hard on KK. There are reasons for him to want to do it this way. If there is a Rival problem we need to know and I trust John and KK to get to the bottom of it. It does not seem nessacary to name a specific casino.

We are all here if more help is needed.

I got more pms so I'm using all the info I can get. I got the last one which is sent off and I'd say Rival will have a look tomorrow. It's high priority.

Any news on this "High priority" issue?

You said you would get an answer in 24hrs - which I knew was never going to happen (knowing the speed Rival work), but even so, it is now 1 full week since I gave you the name of the casino & the faulty link to pass on to Rival - and still no answer...?

You can tell Rival from me that I am not going to let this drop - I want an answer & I want my lost players back.

Many thanks again for your help!
    KK

Since you posted about this thread it was the first thing I did was forward it to Rival and to my knowledge it was the first time they heard about it. I have heard many complaints about the casino in question being extremely late in replying to anybody and Rival are looking for as much info as possible to help find out if there were any tracking issues and what that casino did about it (or didn't do).

If you want to help please pm me as much info as possible including some proof of the players that were not tracked and later added on, at least Rival can pinpoint when the players were added and get a better idea of what was tracked and when. If you could tell me when you started using the tracker that didn't work, when you noticed it wasn't working and how you caught it along with some stats it would help a lot.

ok, I finally got a clearer response after Rival looked into the matter. The issue was not due to Rivals tracking methods or problems but rather the casino website in question. They must have made some updates to their site while screwing something up with the btag handling on the download links. So when downloads activated they most likely were not tracked while hits to the website were.

This really is just laziness on the casino's part in not testing it but when hearing the complaints this is something that should be fixed asap. The new tracking and the old tracking seem to work now where as before they didn't. The new tracking isn't of rivals formatting and that casino has been warned about doing things like this.

I think the title of the thread should finally be changed. I don't think it's fair to label the rest of Rivals for the fault of this one casino. All I can say is it is not 400affiliates and I think as a service to other affiliates that KasinoKing should inform the rest about this. I have promised not to disclose which casino it is but I don't appreciate that they took this long to sort out an important issue. If I were an affiliate I'd want to be aware of it for future reference.

    John

Thanks John... like always, we can count on you!

I'm a little confused though. Is everything fixed with this casino now or not? If they're not, then I'm even more concerned since I like everyone else here could potentially have bad links out there now.

I communicated to them more than half a dozen times that their tracking wasn't working ... response I got "What seems to be the problem?"

I told them again providing stats that I had send several hundred targetted hits and had seen nothing for it ... then I heard back "I raised this with our technical team who will get back to me by tomorrow at the very latest. From my side I am not seeing anything either which is very strange indeed."

    LMAO!

I first dropped absolute because of obvious reasons then just last week I removed the others! None of them will find their way back onto any of my sites.

This thread prompted me to take a look at the two Rivals I carry on one of my sites.

From what John said a direct download link should be:
    http://www.rival-casino.com/get/a?id=12345

But - both of mine are:
    http://www.rival-casino.com/get/d/12345

I rechecked them today on affiliate sites and the way I have them is the way they are still posted in campaign manager for me to use.

I wish KK or John one would in fact confirm this for us here since I also suspected this to be Absolute Slots and the Rival Casino in question and made mention of this earlier on Mar. 1st over at Casinomeisters site here in this post...

    http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/...tml#post285350

Will one of you guys please confirm this once and for all for us please...Thank you

OK, so when I click on the Absolute banner on my site it takes me to the Absolute Slots Home Page and has this link in the address bar...

    xxx://www.absoluteslots.com/index-us10free.php?id=3xxxx6

Is this correct or not ??

EDIT: Never mind about confirming whether or not it is in fact "Absolute Slots" now...as I already know that it is since I have just checked all the other 16 Rival Casinos on my site now and can confirm that they all are working fine with the appropriate link where it should look like this...

    xxxx://www.thisisvegas.com/?id=3xxxx0

*Conspiracy Theory* Now I'm curious if Lou had anything to do with this since I was fairly outspoken against all of the CAP BS and we all know now that he does have an inside relationship with Absolute Slots
