What a few months!!

Hi All,

Not that you really care but I wanted to say that I am back in the forums after a brief hiatus after the 'Ash Cloud' of 2010.

I was so sick of 2 years of non-stop conferences, the deaths of a few friends, visa and ex-wife issues and the daily chores of running 14 hours a day, I didn't really feel I could add much. I have been lurking though, here and there posting, but really haven't been there to read and comment like I should.

Oh, plus I got married

I owe Michael, the GPWA and forum member much more.

So I am going to force myself to devote at least 1 hour per day to the GPWA and bring some good stuff to the table.

Good to see (currently) 370+ ppl on this SEO thread!! woo hoo!

Going to read and see if I can add anything to the past few weeks posts.

Hi Gary,

Never had the pleasure of meeting you as I am newly active in this forum, seems like you had a busy few months!

Just thought I would chip in and say that I remember attending your panel discussion with SEO Gadget (I think about SEO architecture?) at SMX London last year - great to see an industry expert active on GPWA!

After the ash cloud stranding me 3 times Israel, Amsterdam and Denmark I took a long deserved break. I don't know how Michael Corfman, Becca, Caselli and Pratt do it sometimes. Of course I did quite a bit of late-hours partying with some great people and had some unforgettable times, but at 43 (44 on the 17th) and a new wife and my 9-yr old son coming to stay with me in England, I don't have many of those nights left in me.

I learned that last year at the BAC conference after staying up with a ton of people partying and then having to run a 3-hr training session and the a panel right after.

Gettin old in my old age.

Hey Dude thanks for the post and the congrads - I think I owe you some free SEO. You have been faithfully posting nice things for quite some time now.

I did Top 12 SEO Tips for 2010 here.

I'm working on 2011 (my 5th year) now and will probably release it first in the Jan-Feb issue of GPWA (so get your subscription if you don't have one!) and then here in the forums.

I'm also doing one on Forex (the Middle-Eastener's Poker Table) just after that I hope that's going to kill.

Heck wait just a minute - YOU ARE IN COSTA RICA!!!!

The last time I was there I had a blast diving (nearly as good as the Barrier), Gambling (I was splitting Kings double down and couldn't lose)

enjoying the supermarket style hospitality (no parenthesis needed for this one : {upper floor of the Del Ray} - <--- those aren't quotes...lol

I'll be down that way at the end of Feb for the Caribbean Affiliate Conference, just after SES London and just before PubCon in Texas so I'll only have a few days.

Will you be around and do you like Scuba, Gambling or Hospitality? - jk - Married and love her.

But I'd love to dive the other side of the island. I got too hammered the last time (this was 5 years ago) and couldn't dive the second day in Drake Bay. And after the way I won at hold em' last time I'd have to give it another go!

Maybe we can work a deal?
Will work for compressed air and poker chips

Have not seen much of your post, but surely will from now on. I am quite new here at GPWA forum, so don't waste time thinking who I am.

Anyways, learning from DaveMerry's response, it's a great pleasure to be responding with an experienced SEO guy here. Moreover, I'd like to read some of your SEO write ups. Do you have some free SEO ebooks to share with us?

We've been up to shed loads of stuff here so time has been at a premium recently. Would love to spend more time here but as you know sometimes that can be tough based on current workload!

LOL, she's been walking for about 2 and a bit years buddy, it was you that struggled to walk when you saw here, haha. She was actually 4 last Friday, (Dec 10th) Check her out..

Hey Gary, If you could make it to Costa Rica we definitely have to meet up. Would a deep sea fishing day trip interest you? We could take our families on offshore fishing expedition! lol.. I don't know that much about scuba diving, so I can't really give you some good pointers on where to go.
