Summer vacations.

I am just curious, where(how) are you going to spend your summer vacations?
Sometimes(if not always) we are so busy, that we almost never find necessary time for our rest and fun.
It is very important too, please don't forget about it ).

Vacation? what's that? Have not had one for nearly 3 years now.. but usually somewhere on the Pacific or Caribbean in Latin America, This year might take a trip through Asia..

Well, usually thats the time to see family, relatives, attend some weddings etc. I will go to Israel, to Romania to attend some weddings and later to attend an affiliate event, Rep. Moldova and perhaps Italy. That last one isn't that sure. In October I will attend BAC in Berlin.

Biggest enemy is usually time. I am also in training for a pilgrimage that I want to make this year.

I don't think I'll have time this summer as I'm working on some projects for the new football season. Going on vacation would kind of ruin everything.

I will go to sailing school on the coast for a couple of days though.

It's hard to go on holidays during summer here because it's Christmas and everything is really expensive. Which is a shame because we have mandatory leave from the office.

I'm planning to go to Hawaii next month for my birthday for a week just to get away from winter. It's too cold here at the moment

Already done 5 weeks in the West Indies watching the cricket and did a week in Marbella for my birthday

Hopefully get to do a week in Gran Canaria in Sept and a week in Abu Dhabi in October for the cricket again

Vacations is something we are good at This year we are in Newfoundland for six weeks not including the drive from ontario here and the 2 weeks it will take us to go home as we are doing some tours of New Brunswick and visiting friends there.We did a mini trip to Las Vegas to see Nascar Race in March and we will take the kids away for a few days to Florida then a week Cruise in Caribbean before they return to school and in December we always go south for 1-2 weeks. Generally we are spending about 12 weeks on Vacation now thanks to staff who can run the ship for us while away.

Haven't had a proper holiday since 2012, need to sort something out.

We just got back from Sedona and then Vegas, and then Sedona again. Got a upgrade to a 1500sq ft parlor suite at the Plazzao Casino and only managed to lose $1,000 there. Then we stayed at the Aria Casino and I managed to lose only a couple of hundred bucks.

Sedona is great, so beautiful and peaceful.

That's it for the summer. Winter vacations are better because I would rather be snowboarding than gambling and eating too much.

I've been to Spain 3 times
Hawaii is close enough and cheap enough that I can go for a week. I just want to lay in the sun for a week and not think about anything. It's always cold here on my birthday so it's the perfect time to go.

Loved Thailand! I went there on a "family" holiday a few years ago. I'd like to go with friends next time as noone was interested in actually getting out and partying properly with me.

You sound like me. I never used to take holidays until I took a 4 week holiday and it made me realise I work too hard. So now I try to at least have 1 week away each year. It makes a difference.

Haha plenty of factor 40 for the first few days I'll be fine. Usually when I go away on one of these holidays I find myself up until 6am every morning, then I sleep until past midday so I'll probably come home whiter than I went.
