The morality behind promoting gambling has been discussed many times on this forum and there's a long thread about it somewhere if you fancy searching for it. At the end of the day, if a person wants to gamble, they will and I don't see any problem with that - it's just a form of entertainment and I know many people that treat it as such. From what you have told us for yourself it wasn't just entertainment and that would, understandably, affect how you view it. But whats the big deal about someone having a beer and playing a $20 poker tournament on a friday night when they don't feel like going out?
There is a big difference, however, between guiding players to a safe and trustworthy place and sending them to a clip joint that you know will probably rip them off. And if they will rip the players off, there will probably come a day when they will try and rip you off.
Anyway, that's just my opinion.
