Just a bit of fun. What car do you drive? What car would you like to own?

2007 Mercury Montego Luxury is my ride. Love the plush smooth ride.

Would like to have a Jeep Wrangler too.

Still miss the old 97 Miata we had but I couldn't get in and out of it anymore. (too low)

We own a 2010 Kia Forte. It's a nice ride, great warranty and cheap on gas. Plus it's got all the toys.

I went to a classic car auction last week and was tempted a couple times...
First a 57 Studebaker Golden Hawk - mint condition - sold for $33,000 - about a third of the true value. Then a Rambler American, 1965 in pristine condition sold for $5100 - I quit bidding at $5,000...

    Cool thread!

    Hi all,

Used to be a BMW guy but when I was interstate I needed a car and hired a Audi cabriolet. I was really impressed by the appointed features, cabin detail and the handling. Long story short, I'm now driving a 2009 A4 Audi cabriolet S-Line (fully appointed) in metallic gun metal black.

    Cheers

I see the Audi as the "new" breed. You just have to check out the range to see they blitz BMW - JMO of course!

    Audi Entry Level
    A3 (3 door hatch) > A3 Sportsback > A3 cabriolet > S3 > S3 Sportsback

    BMW Entry Level
    Series 1 Sports Hatch > Series 1 Coupe` > Series 1 Convertible

    BMW Series 3
    Sedan > Touring > Coupe` > Convertible

    Audi comparison A4 Sedan > A4 Avant > S4
Six petrol & four diesel models to choose from (including optional extras)

In addition Audi have the TT line (5 models total). When stacked up to the Z4 Roadster.

Of course you could always splash out and get yourself an R8 bit too expensive here in OZ, not much change out of $330K and the R8 Spyder will set you back around $400K.

    Cheers

2010 Jeep Liberty and I absolutely love my gas guzzler

I'm short - 5'4 so when the seats are folded down everything is my height if I load it up after shopping. Plus we have some nasty winters up here so the 4 x 4 kicks ass

Yeah the R8 Spyder would be really nice to own but way out of my league at the moment sadly. I would hate to think what the insurance would be on it and general maintenance costs from time to time.Thats the problem with expensive cars its thinking yes i might have the money to own one but can i handle the other costs that are involved.

Yep it adds up but on a plus you get the benefits of having a really nice ride that turns heads.

    Speaking of nice cars.
The last place we lived the next door neighbour had a Ferrari and a Porsche.
Our new neighbour, yep you guessed it he's got a Ferrari too - one day it will be my turn.

    2002 Jaguar S-type.

Bought second hand for a song, and a far better ride than 95% of the vehicles on the road, and safer than 99% of them too.

We have some pretty cool bug killers in Australia. Sadly this one is in storage. Well I hope so and the guys from Ferris Bueller's Day Off haven't changed jobs and working where it is stored.

James, That's gonna take some serious cleaning when you get back!!!

Me, I have 2 cars - the runabout is a black mazda RX8 which is more my car
( which my husband calls a piece of **** ) and the car for longer trips which my hubby tends to drive is a Mercedes C63 AMG - also black .
People in the neighborhood laugh if we both happen to meet up together for a lunch date after being on different appointments because the merc has a number plate TOPBOSS and the mazda is TOPBOZZ so people do a double take when they see the cars parked next to each other.

My dream car is an Audi R8 but its a bit out of my price range ...

OMG. 1967 Chevy Impala 4 door. My goal is to get one of those in the next 2 years. Always wanted a classic Mustang, but there are too many of them here around Melbourne, and also, Dean Winchester changed my mind.

For the time being though, it's a 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sport soft top.

    1967 Chevy Impala 4 door
This brings back some memories. My mom used to have a 1967 chevy impala when I was a kid and I used to make her drop me off around the corner, not in front of the school as I was so embarressed to be seen in it.

You see in South Africa, they were not really common cars, so everyone used to stare at it and being a teenager - I felt it was really uncool having a mom with a chevy when everyone elses moms had fiats and toyotas!!
