Alex - I'm so happy to hear that you will leave it where it is for next year. If for whatever reason the company decides not to send me, I will pay my own way.

After hearing about this I'm so gutted that I missed it.. And Hodgey had to rub it in about buying a shirt with my great uncle's name on it.. Now I'm eager to get one myself... I just wish someone was still there to buy it for me!

    Fingers crossed for London

    Cheers

    Hei Christine

Glad you like the guns wait until London they will be even bigger.

And maybe in london we can sit down and have a real chat face to face rather than the chatrs we have on msn.

I am really think that I might look at doingthe party next year but I am not sure the bars would give me an exclusive, lets see what happens.

I packed in 1 meeting after another and still missed at least 20% of the people I wanted to talk to. Kudos to Alex and his team on a job well done.

Food.. what is up with all the duck liver with every meal? I for sure need to go back there are many places I had no time to see and the city is amazing such a nice change up from Barca.

Shaun I seen your guns dude nice going Sorry for missing lunch!

Who thinks there should be a sponsored party at the Bed and Beach club ohhh yahhh!!

As Michael said there were some really nice talks going on during the conference especially about the recent term changes by a few programs, I think good progress was made on that end. I had dinner with CWC and sat across from J. Todd when he talks about the Grand Pricks he has so much passion over this issue I know he is going to fight hard and chase them down for all affiliates!! Job well down Jay and keep up that fight and let me know what I can do to help!!

Hey CBG, sounds like a plan. Let me know the dates nearer the time and we can work something out. It was a flying visit last time and it would be good to spend a little more time. You should come to one of our dinners, you'll have a blast.

I am so sorry that I was unable to attend this Budapest conference and to see J.Todd in his white suit.....lol

I hope that the event will stay on the calender for next year

Now we can all look forward to a Snow free conference in Jan 2010 London as so many was stranded last year at the airports trying to get home.

I have to agree with most posts on here, it was a great conference and it was good to get to meet you guys as well.

The event was a great success and I am glad to say that a lot came out of it.

The Hotel rocked and food was good! I agree that we need to have a sponsored party at the bed and beach clubs next time.

It was indeed a great conference, venue, hotel, food, people, everything. Just Perfect.

However, I think it's good to have one roaming conference every year, so that local affiliates from the area can also come. Budapest was great for Hungarians and people from neighboring countries, but don't everyone deserve their fair chance of participating?

    Having said that, Buda rocked

I dont agree it sucks moving every event, I love having two in Holland you get to jnow some great places to eat drink and of course party, I dont mind goin to new places but being the dumb ass toursit does suck, you always see so many people walking around like lost sheep with yellow and red bands on there wrists.

I vote 100% for London, Holland and the Buda that to me would be ideal, but I hear that Holland might be an issue.....

Would be nice to throw in somewhere with some hot sun so we can 'work' out in the grounds of a nice hotel somewhere. Kinda like springbreak but not.

Although I think we would lose people and the event would be less of an occasion.

    So forget me.

aren't we supposed to make this more international and open for newcomers? if we're stuck on 2-3 places then the growth is slower and entering new markets will be difficult. besides, being a tourist sucks? I think most people would trade their jobs just to visit a new country every year but maybe it's just me...

I have pretty good skin when it comes to sun, however factor 50 is always a must when it comes to the dome. I have to protect all that knowledge!

The plan for the sept events is to move them every two years - That way we get to properly settle but not so long that it gets tired - We also find the new delegates tend to follow us to the new location then

Not sure we will be in Amsterdam in 2010, just too much of a risk re legal situation in Holland with deposits on venue plus over 75% of our survey voted Prague so its likely we will end up there which is great for travel, parties, cost and new affiliates/operators - This will also be a different kind of show completely - You can see some info here iGaming Super Show but keep your eyes peeled

I think this is a good idea.. the first year for a new venue requires some adjusting to, but the second year seems to really take off - especially if the first year is a successful event. Moving events every couple years attracts new interest and growth from different markets/regions. Who knows.. in 2-4 years, Vegas may be leading the way for a change in conference venues....

Sounds like an excellent location Alex. Can I vote for having it end June/start of July for 3 reasons: 1) it gives areally nice spread (London in Jan, CAC Dam in April, Prague in June/July then Budapest in September) 2) The weather will be nice and 3) school hols dont start until mid-July.

    Cheers,

Its called Sydney dude! Get your ass down here in March and you'll see what sun is

Don't forget the 100+ though... we have a hole in our ozone layer and your 50 probably wont cut it if your skin is not used to it (or gypsy skin like mine).
