Hahahah this made me lol hard.

I guess it's a bit different for affiliate managers who have to exhibit as they need to be there earlier than everyone else.
If you're just walking the floor it doesn't really matter where you stay. Although after the conference most people head back to the hotel bar to chat and have a couple of wind down drinks before dinner etc. So it's always handy to walk into the hotel after and see people you want to speak with.

Yeah I think that was me in London. I suffered a lot when I got home for it though.
At least when you stay awake you don't miss a business opportunity. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Ours takes 1 hour!

We've just booked in at the main Novatel hotel. I thought it was fully booked but it seems we're in. Would like to have stayed near or on Dam Square but hey ho, networking in the bar it is.

Who else is in the main hotel?

That is strange. When I wanted to book the official hotel a few weeks ago there was no room available for at least 1 of the 3 nights. Now you can book for the 3 nights.
Too bad I already booked an other hotel without cancellation option.

I know, I looked too. But not sure now if it just looked that way as I thought I could only book in on the Monday and Tuesday night and again on the last night?

The flight to London is 24 hours. To Amsterdam it is a few hours longer.

I sleep the whole way on the plane so I can't complain.

It is not a problem if the official hotel is fully booked. There are still some good ones near the RAI too,cannot see any issue with that

It's likely I won't go this year, there's a good chance I'll spend the second part of the year in Boston. We'll see. I'll make the decision 2-3 days before the conf starts.
