    Another vote for Vegas here!

Best time, imo, is around the time when the G2E is on - it's a great event and really inspirational for an affiliate - you get to see and play all the new games, technologies, chat to the guys running the big casinos. Plus, there's plenty of free food and drink too...

Last year's GPWA conference at G2E was well worthwhile attending (even though very few did). If it was arranged early enough, publicised well, and had affiliate programs attending, I'm sure it would be a massive success

    Just my two cents worth...

The gamesandcasino team always goes to Vegas at pubcon time. And we always run into plenty affs and managers there. The more, the merrier, I say. It doesn't have to be an official conference, but I see no reason why we shouldn't hang together wherever and whenever we please...

I have never been to Vegas in my life so would be up to going but not when the pavement is melting lol. I live in Canada and put up with enough cold and snow here so I refuse to pay money to go anywhere that is just as cold and snowy. There should be some temperature controls on these events - do London in spring summer and pick a warm spot for winter conferences.

Vegas in November (around Pubcon or G2E) sounds great to me.

You just missed the Vegas events then Shaun. Those were the good ole days where operators would spoil affiliates with sponsored trips, awesome gifts baskets, etc and lots of stuff to take back home.

I attened the last Vegas conference that was partly ruined by the high profile arrests of that sportbetting guy, rumors of a bust and a couple other misteps by folks because my hubby's brother is on the Vegas police force and assured me that everything would be okay and that I did not have to worry about an incident.

I look forward to meeting up in Las Vegas as it's only a 10 hour drive for us and hubby's hometown.

And what does Mind the Gap signify? This idea does not seem like the mind-set was in the right place with this new conference idea and demonstrate a 'Gap in judgement'.

"mind the gap" is a message called out on train stations where the platform is curved, thereby creating a gap for passengers to fall between the train and the platform edge. ie a danger warning.

Victoria metropolitan line is an example.

I am curious to what mind the gap have in mind agenda-wise specifically, and where affiliates or players sit in all this regarding attendance and contribution.

Another industry railroad jobby espousing more good ethics, while shenanigans persist under thier noses, via their membership, will be tolerated and accepted by players with as much gusto as Ecogra have been over 5 years of thier stumbling about writing press releases by dwindling candlelight.
