Any suggestions for a new TV show to watch?

Someone at work yesterday told me to watch the walking dead. So many shows I need to watch.

The Voice Australia started 2 nights ago and already it's had me in tears constantly.
I'm sure you guys outside Oz don't get the Oz version, but if you can look up some of the performers on youtube you wont be disappointed..


This one made my heart skip a beat and I was instantly in tears (which looks like the coach's hearts may have also skipped a beat).

Karise Eden. Hasn't been to school since she was 12, was a self harmer and went through the foster care system until she found these lovely people she is with now. They gave her a guitar and it started there. She has the tiniest voice I've ever heard, so after hearing her voice then listening to that come out of her mouth was unbelievable.

The girl below is blind. When she had finished and they were talking to her, she actually said to them "I have to tell you that I'm legally blind so I don't know if anyone actually turned around" - she almost made my other half cry too..

Anyway thought I'd share since we're on the topic of tv shows

I find this show way better than Idol. Sooo much better..

Speaking of other good shows, does anyone watch Lost Girl?

I've just started watching 'Til Death on Netflix, it's funny and easy to watch...

I've never really understood the whole audition/talent type show (eg: xxx's got talent, pop idol, look at me I can dance) - but they seem to be so popular it must just be me being a grumpy git.

Now if they started shooting each other and one of them turned out to be a spy, I'd watch it!

I'm also watching Britain's Got Talent but I will stop when it gets past the early auditions stage and there are actually only talented people on it. It's still on the hilarious deluded people stage at the moment

F-L-C Tom Jones is a legend. Think i prefer The Voice now to BGT. Has anyone put True Blood out there yet? HBO's most watched series since The Sopranos. I've just started watching the final season. Not usually into vamp stuff, but it is awesome

Best Series EVER.. 'Walking Dead' is a big deal here. I've got family members who love it so mush they throw 'Walking Dead' parties every week. lol.. I loved the show and purchased the HD version from itunes.

Really? I didn't know that. I saw them for sale on itunes for about $10 each for a digital version. I think I'd prefer buying the original comics. Good to know.

I suggested true blood back a few pages ago.. It's my favourite show. New season starts in june and I just am dying for it to start. I know a lot of people hate the vampire stuff, but at least this show is true to the vampire traditions.. They can't stay awake during the day, if they go in the sun they burn, they cry blood and they can glamour people. And of course there is the amazing vampire sex.

I love True Blood. "V" is a major aphrodisiac. Would you try it Renee? Kind of torn between the shapeshifters and the vamps. Sookie is a fairy I think. It's got it all.

Walking Dead is a great show. Not your average zombie fare. There is a lot of storyline there and I want to be an extra on that show as a zombie.

That's a hard question. I've never taken drugs in my life, so initially I'd say no.. But I suppose it's kind of like viagra... Umm.. I dunno. I can't decide! Probably not though :S

Yeah Sookie is a fairy. I've read all the books and I have to say that the last season strayed from the books a lot. The books are amazing though.. The TV show does a pretty good job of being as good as the books though. I usually hate it when they create a show or movie from books as it's usually nowhere near as good..

Speaking of The Voice, I just got offered a ticket to watch it live on the 14th of May so I'm going to watch. Woo!
Me and my other half have been laughing at Seal's faces that he pulls when he sees someone he doesn't like, or in the case he sees someone he does like. He has this funny smile and my other half has been looking at me and pulling that face whenever he feels like it to make me laugh. I think I'm slightly obsessed with Seal.

Anyone heard of flashpoint? Saw a trailer for the show on TV the other day and thought it looked like our kind of bag so checked out a couple of episodes. It's about a 'Strategic Response Unit' based in Canada somewhere that deals with hostage situations - lots of drama, things blowing up and snipers. Plus it's not too emo, which is nice...

It's pretty good actually. I'd prefer it if there was more of an ongoing story line (eg: think of the linear plot of the shield vs a formula show like CSI) but for what it is it's really interesting - worth checking out if you're into that kind of thing.
