I have tried quite a few different CMS and wordpress is by far one of the easiest to deploy and manage. Not only that, you have thousands of plugins available most often free, and plenty of support forums if you get stuck.

From what I have seen, I think that Wordpress is one of the best options.

It's easy to use, you have tons of plug ins for it, as well as templates.

Apart from that is not very difficult to find someone who can customize a Wordpress site with exactly anything that you may want to be showing there.

I agree, they have come a long way in compatibility and stability.

I still do not allow automatic updates as I prefer to update when I want allowing a database backup etc, but it is far more rare to see issues from updates, but I still encourage the least amount of plugins as possible and trying to stay with the better known plugins with wider exposure and higher usage numbers with more recent update or support numbers.

I used WP for various projects, as it allows to start any project quickly, it has too many disadvantages. I never managet to score great speed results of Google Page Speed. Now looking for something flat-based like GRAV CMS (of course for small projects only)

Wordpress, I am very satisfied about this CMS. Before using Joomla many years ago, I think Wordpress has far more potential with plugins etc.

Wordpress. For new users its really easy to pick up - tons of help on you tube. The more you use WP, the more you can see how customisable it is. Plugins help with tables, pop ups, contact forms and buttons and you dont need to have any coding knowledge.

Agreed, but... there comes a time when knowing some coding is very useful. EG - using WP plugins for everything, when, in some cases, a few lines of coding added to the functions.php file, solves the issues, or you may want to improve speed and security. Plugins aren't always the idea solution. Hence, my advice is learn some basic php/html, and also some simple coding for htaccess files

Every WP plugin, adds an extra overhead, to the loading speed.

Of your on shared hosting, this can have a massive impact on speed.

Usually Wordpress. Easy & Fast. But for more complex websites I like Joomla and Drupal, even Concrete 5 in some situations.

I am one of the lot with a WP CMS. Would love it to be a bit more user friendly design wise, but it is what it is.

Any fool can add a post and state X, Y or Z CMS.... What becomes helpful for newbies, or other folks, is knowing why you use a particular CMS
