Did Google Update?

I noticed that on two of my sites the homepage went from a PR0 to a 1 but that is the only changes I noticed throughout all my sites. Did anyone else notice any changes? Maybe not a complete update? Do they ever do that?

I saw an increase on a bunch of my inner pages just last week. I would say an update was done, or is in process.

Well, I follow another online casino portal and before its homepage was PR0, now the tools show it's PR1. I guess that just means Google really did the update, but not the kind like before when PR0 can easily update to PR2 after a period of regular link building.

I know of a portal that did go from 0 to 2 in the update

It seems that Google has gotten stricker with PR and it is harder now to make it higher. They probs valued the PR coming from other sites to another less.

See how long it takes before someone replies with, "PR does not matter", haha

Not sure what you mean and if you can substantiate that?

In my understanding page rank is similar to a probability distribution ans is scaled from 0 to 10 (except NA), so I do not see how it could have become harder given that the pr10 sites are still there to my knowledge (meaning pr was not scaled down).

A PR 10 would be getting links constantly or may in fact be higher than a PR 10 if the scale could go any higher (meaning it has way more links needs to gain a PR 10). As someone has said on this forum that a site with a PR 0 that should have gone to a PR3 on the update only made a PR 1.

My affiliate site went to PR3 from PR0 and my poker site went from PR2 to PR3.... but PR doesn't matter. Content is still king....
