Finally Blacklisted Wagershare

We have been promoting all Wagershare casinos on our websites since they first opened their affiliate program, so its a good 10 years plus. They used to be considered one of the good guys back in the day........

I don't know what went wrong or if they just got greedy but today we made the decision to blacklist all of their brands - Not an easy thing to do considering we have over 100 websites of which they appear on many of them, so its a huge amount of work to do.

They only owe us $300.00 so its not a big amount but if they are giving us the run around over $300.00 imagine what it would be like in the thousands of dollars.

We got a new depositor in November and in December they never paid us and when I queried it in January they said that there was a problem with our account details which I checked and of course there was absolutely nothing wrong with the account. Its a simple Neteller account which every other casino has no problems paying to.

Be that as it may I changed it to Moneybookers which I prefer anyway. Still no payment. They then told me that I must now wait for them to process the payment on or before the 10 January which of course came and went and at this stage the Nameless Affiliate Manager ( I say nameless because he/she simply replied as Wagershare support and signed off each email with no name ) kept telling me to be patient and then stopped responding to my emails altogether.

I then decided to do a bit of homework on them and started reading forums and other sites and discovered many people had blacklisted them for various reasons. I really need to read the forums more often as I should have seen this months ago...but better late than never!!!

Yesterday I sent them an email telling them I was blacklisting them and they never bothered to respond. I always do what I say I am going to do - so they are now BLACKLISTED. End of an era which is sad.

Spending stolen money takes time, and some kind of people, seem to regard themselves as above the law, have to wait until it gets dark.

I know how you feel Heather, I too have been removing them and a few others as I run accross them.

It is sad to see programs that were near the top of our lists years ago fall so far out of favor, but repalcing them with almost any others makes much more sense then allowing a single visitor.

I must say I did have a bad experience with them about 14-15 months back. My affiliate manager, Paul Torzel BTW, went out of his way to make things right, well as right as he could when they had the rule about 6 months wait for closed accounts.
He was brilliant and I went from shouting at him on the phone to classing him as a friend who I'd happily sit and buy a beer. Unfortunately Paul has since left but I've had no issues, I just feel sorry for people that do as it is never nice

Paul was very helpful. Adam who has taken over from Paul seems very good so far as well. I've not had any problems apart from a late neteller payment in Dec as well, but this was paid in Jan as promised.

I am also working with Wagershare and had Paul as an AM - everything has been running correctly as far as I can tell. He was precise and timely with his actions - and made the relationship an easy one.


My new AM wandered in recently after we had a good month and immediately wanted to re-negotiate the terms - and demand premium space and player guarantees as part of the package. He's been re-educated as to how we respond to "partners" that want to change pre-existing deals.

It doesn't sound like you are being treated correctly TopBoss - how hard can it be to process a Neteller or MoneyBookers payment out of cycle? Mind you if you've only earned a $300 payment for exposure on 100 sites then irrespective of how you are being treated I would agree that it's time to pull them.

Unsettling as I do not like to hear that a program is only as good as the AM you have.

Thanks Gooner - Although I had a 100 odd sites I must admit they are not on all of them , or at least not in top positions as I have always battled to get players there no matter how much I tried. I got loads of downloads and signups but I found their conversions were shocking. I was surprised I even got a player there in November.
In hindsight maybe this is a blessing in disguise pulling them!

Just to give a further update on this. Today I received payment, but its just a shame that I had to blacklist them to get it!

I have read so many threads about problems with wagershare. When they contacted me about promoting them I said 'no thanks because of all the bad publicity' and pointed them to one of the threads. Life is too short to deal with firms that change the rules when you make money (referring to the experience Gooner had, lucky he managed to get them onside, it could have been different). You knock yourself out to get a big player base and finally make some serious money and then they try to undermine it. I would never touch a firm that has done that to any affiliate, it's asking for trouble. Wagershare's name just keeps cropping up negatively on this forum.

Is it significant "wagershare rogue" is 3rd on the list when you start typing in "wagershare" for a google search? And then there is this from affiliate guard dog:

It sounds like you did the right thing. If you have to complain on here and blacklist them just so they listen to you and pay you well that speaks enough about the program. I dont know too many other affiliates who work with them anymore.

Just to be clear - I work with Wagershare and am generally satisfied with them. Some of their newer AM's need a re-education into basic business policy that's all.

While I can understand why affiliate choose not to work with them or drop them - I don't really understand a "blacklist" for a slow payment, or poor performance. Being paid in January for November earnings is hardly the performance of a rogue company - and the term "blacklist" seems highly charged and emotive to me.

There are hundreds of companies out there that I won't work with because I don't like their product, or we've tried and been unsuccessful with them but it's not a blacklist.

For me - a blacklist is reserved for the con programs of the world Grand Prive, Europartners, and 888.con and the like.

I have also issues with wagershare .
Last payment was at February 2013.
Since then I had 2 new active purchasing players,one at August and one more at November.
But no payments.My earnings are now over 1300$.
The excuse was ''locked players accounts''.
At my dashboard I don't see any locked player account.

Why 888?

Well it appeared the company wasn't going to pay them for a small amount or answer their emails. Sounds like blacklist was in order.

Talking about blacklists, surely the most crooked firm on the internet is Lock Poker. They pay nobody (players or affiliates) and yet are still apparently in business.

Yeah I wouldn't trust 888 and did recently remove all their brands, mainly because they are a firm I would never promote nowadays and were only there for old times sake. Never made anything from them, read so many complaints over the years and 888sport reduced commissions down to 10% at one time. Would like to hear Gooner's experience of them.

888 appears to be one of the most promoted gaming operations on the entire Internet.

I just do not know why because their tracking system often does absolutely nothing. No new clicks
registered or sometimes hundreds of "approved" visitors missing.

Oh, I can not comment on Wagershare by the way. LOL

Gooner, I totally agree with what you say regarding it being a bit harsh to blacklist them over one or 2 missed payments and I need to stress that this was not the sole reason I blacklisted them.

As mentioned in my original post I said

Me too i have a player that makes 10 deposits totaling 420$ and wagershare just frad locked that after 1 week. I think that i will delete all their content from my site !

Why delete their content from your site? It is MUCH better, in my opinion, to "redirect" the visitor from the existing content to a better, competing casino.

Instead of deleting, add a warning on the page along with a suggestion for where to play instead.
