I shouldn't confess this Renee but before cassettes we had 8-track players.

I remember 8 tracks. I taped the whole elvis story when he died, still have it.

My first 45 record I ever bought was by the Tremeloes.

Giggles do your cats like music? LOL

Here's like another one I liked so much. When i was like 12-14 I was into break dancing with a crew. We had bandanas on our ankles and head. We though we were so cool breakdancing to crowds.

We used to pull out cardboard boxes put them on the floor have the ghetto blaster blasting this song and just kick it up.

    moves like:

    the wave
    the tick
    windmill
    caterpilliar

    You name it!!!

Man i felt like i was the coolest kid around

you'all oughta really love this then.

man what I won't do to bring a smile to people. No embarrassment is too much.

...... the carpenters. that song which goes something like everybody wants to be next to you ...

old, some would say bad taste ... and not smart enough to hide it. .....sigh.

and yes I said some would say bad taste because I still think she sang great. and that it was one of the saddest stories in music.

first album ... KISS (that's right Pat......... we're once again same ..... maybe we were twins seperated at birth ... you got the looks and I got the larger diaper cause they were pretty sure there'd be a lot more sh#t coming from out of me than you) ... just a theory

Man, some of these songs really take me back!
I LOVE "Babe, what would you say", by Hurricane Smith, and have downloaded that a few times.

We used to play Supertramp, Led Zeplin, Cheech and Chong, Bachman Turner Overdrive and so on, in the 8-track player.

I bought my first real records at a church flea market, back in 1970. The were 45's and included "Please Mr. Postman" and, "Do you want to know a secret", by the Beatles. I also got a $5.00 black and white portable tv set at that flea market.

Remember how you'd put in a little plastic tab to play a 45 on a 'record player'?

Man, seems like a lifetime ago.

Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy - Elton John. Some how this lead to me becoming a Dead Head and listening to stuff like the Sex Pistols and Clash today.

The title song, Bitter Fingers were my favorite on Captain Fantastic.

This song was the most popular on the album

Geez, not sure what my first purchase was....

I do have a number that have never been played, and of those that were, most were only ever played once.

Back in those days, I would crack the seal, tape it on cassette and never play it again.

Have 6 or 8 or more Beetles still sealed....

I still catch myself calling it a "record" store....lol
