    Default Football only thread

    Hi Guys

I want to open a thread that is only about football.

We have a load of sportsbetting affiliates on the forum and we have also have loads of affiliates that love the beautiful game (that is football and not american football).

So feel free to post away you thoughts on the premier league or in fact any other leauge.

Chalike please do not enter this thread and talk about the WBA this is for real football and not sunday pub football.

    Thanks and enjoy.

Well i now reckon we have a top 5 and no longer a top 4

I also think that Liverpool and Aston Villa are not included in that.

For me the top 5 now is Man Utd, Chelsea, Tottenham , Arsenal and Man City

I think the top 4 positions will be between those 5

And of those 5 i think if i am brutally honest that only Tottenham cannot win the title.

I do think Arsenal and Man City have rock solid chances

It pains me to say it but Chelsea look amazing this week they are showing great form and the team are playing so well with each other. I would hate to see Man City win the leauge that would make me puke, never been a team with any skill never a hope in the world until they got the bag of cash.

Talking of this what an insaine week for football, some shocking wins, unreal draws and some crazy beatings, thank god all the sure wins did not win.

I hate to talk about money in public but what a sick week for sports betting affiliates and operators. I know for us we experianced one o fthe best weeks this year due to the results.

    This week i love football.

Okay how about this you can talk about WBA twice a week?

Anymore than that and you get banned .

It will be fun to have you pop in on a monday morning and tell us how you beat another crap team in the 1st div .

Did you see that Chelsea are going to try and get Heskey? its crazy he one o fthe worst players ever, why would Chelsea want him?

Well, firstly the popping in and talking about another Baggies win is getting more unlikely by the week. Our bubble seems to have burst and our top of table position is looking rather false!

Ref a top 5/6 or whatever it turns out to be, i have to say i think the top 4 is a bygone and there is less chance of the top 6 being the same from 1 season to the next anymore. Money is making a difference, however, more and more teams are getting hold of it, making the cash rich clubs advantage less and less as time goes on.

Think we have to accept that cash will play a major part in results thus onwards and once the credit crunch is gone there will be even more investments.

Regarding Heskey, well, i have never rated him and cannot understand why Chelsea would even consider him. He is no more than mediocre!

From the 30 minutes i saw of chelsea mid week, i thought they were lacking something tbh, they were playing a decidedly dodgy spanish outfit and looked no better themselves. I did only catch the first 30 minutes or so though.

I see no reason why spurs, man city or liverpool cannot still win the title and feel it will be reasonably open still come christmas.

    My top three times this season are;

    Chelsea
    Man UTD
Stoke City (had to put this in there since Peter Coates my boss from bet365 owns this club)

My favorites for this season is def Chelsea, followed by Arsenal. Somewhere here should be Man Utd, but personally I don't see them finishing up as a winners again.

The most stable by any means to me seems Chelsea; psychologically and financially. Team haven't changed much for long time and these players know each other very well and there is real team spirit surrounding them. Have a feeling that they will win the title this year.

    Hi Guys.............

Com'on you "TIGERS" HULL CITY IS IN THE TOP FLIGHT FOR THE SECOND YEAR.

    http://www.hullcityafc.net/page/Welcome

Let me enter this thread with the best team in the Premier Leauge and their position at the moment does not reflect that..................

I remenber going to see "HULL CITY" as a youngster standing on "BUNKERS HILL" that I will tell you all about in the future, but as the name goes it was from WWII

Memories flood back watching them in those days with a cup of "BOVRIL" and today I bet its still the same, but now they play in an all new stadium with the 2 best Rugby Leauge teams in the UK........"HULL FC (black & white) & HULL KINGSTON ROVERS" (red & white).

Just to comment on what someone said about Man City..............this was a wonderful team when they had Colin Bell & Francis Lee amounst others back in those days.

Good luck this weekend to all your teams

I reckon chelsea will win finally win the title this year. Its about time too.

The only thing that might make it difficult is the African Nations cup that will have 4 players leave for a few weeks.

edit: As for all the Chelski bashers, watch this xxxhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0tXB9wNPG4 - sry couldn't help myself there

Ok Ok i will be more realistic

Ok Burnley are better than Stoke and we beat Burnley 5-0, so i change the Spurs result to 5-0, better?

    Ok West Ham V Arsenal

sure i think West Ham can beat you

They last played your lot at the Emirates and drew 0-0

Before that they lost three on a row to your mob but before that beat you three times on a trot

Overall in the last 10 meetings in the premiership 4 Arsenal wins, 3 West Ham wins and 3 draws.

Or another way Arsenal have won 40% in the last 10 games, so yeah i reckon they stand a good chance over you.

Its a London derby as well donbt forget and derbies are always unpredicatable.

Are Arsenal the better team, of course they are and they were over the last 10 meetings but still won less than 50% of the time.

I don't understand why Sunderland is so underrated. They have a nnice team this season and even if you "delete" the goal against Liverpool, they showed good football this season.

And I can't wait for Artetas comeback. I am sure we will see a great Everton if he get in his usual form.
