Totally agree bonustreak likely the first time in affiliate history we all agree on something. GP shafted so many without flinching and MG sat back and watched it happen.
There is only one goal here come together as a team and start digging a grave for GP and their accomplices. Plenty of rogue pages, articles, and videos out there but can more be done?
I know GP is on twitter they have a forum has anyone bothered giving them a blast I have? Well anyway more aggressive approaches are desperately needed. It is obvious GP will not listen to reason and they will continue to live the life we affiliates provided for them.
And they owed you $7.00 just absolutely ridiculous! I even know better.
So let’s all stay on topic and focus in on finding a resolution, good or bad. After all chasing two rabbits they both get away.

If 500-1000 people work together in ONE direction for a couple of months it is possible to take down an entire software network like microgaming. The affiliates could actually control the casinos and not the other way round due to their numbers. The hardest part in this process is the initiating impulse because you need like at least 50 people who start to very consistently apply pressure and the rest will follow bit by bit.
I still feel that the biggest problem keeping our stats/earnings accurate and straight came from the casinos change to the single login. Not just the affiliate software upgrade/change.
I don't understand why people keep referring to "Referspot" as if it is a completely separate company or party. When we signed up to promote the Grand Prive casinos, the affiliate program was indeed called Referspot. But why would anything affect us just because they upgrade they're affiliate software, or change employees, or rename the program? It wasn't like we had to sign a new agreement or join a new program.
We had no options or choices, or decisions to make because seemingly we affiliates continued on with promoting their casinos much the same.
It really upsets me to read posts that repeatedly imply that this is two separate programs as if we had two separate agreements, or two separate parties. The same people made our payments, we only signed up once, all of our players were supposedly merged or mapped over to show stats, etc from their new software. Why should eCogra only consider active players that joined after the software upgrade? Our Grand Prive players were our players, period. Regardless of when they joined the Grand Prive Casinos.
I just don't get how or why eCOGRA, Grand Prive management or affiliates see Referspot and Grand Prive Affiliates as being two separate entities. It's one organization that was just RENAMED and changed their software/upgraded.
Why does everyone separate Referspot and Grand Prive Affiliates? Does anyone have any reason to believe there is a difference other than the softwareand name change? Is a software and name change enough for eCOGRA to not audit it all?
I feel like we're making a big deal about Grand Prive Affiliates closing without paying us for the players we brought them, but somehow everyone is seemingly have then let Referspot close a long time ago and keep our players if this is how it's going to remain. So they stole all of our Referspot players. Maybe that's what we need to be saying.
Many times when a group starts up an affiliate program, they basically hire it out to another company. We really don't know if that was the case with Referspot, but it might have been.I don't understand why people keep referring to "Referspot" as if it is a completely separate company or party. When we signed up to promote the Grand Prive casinos, the affiliate program was indeed called Referspot. But why would anything affect us just because they upgrade they're affiliate software, or change employees, or rename the program? It wasn't like we had to sign a new agreement or join a new program.
It doesn't really matter in this particular case. The SEPARATION of the two is because all the codes changed to accomodate the new software when they opened the Grand Prive Affiliate Program.
Therefore, there are two Separate data bases.
One for Referspot, and one for Grand Prive.
Grand Prive had Ecogra investigate the short lived Grand Prive data base, not the longer lived Referspot data base.
Needless to say, there is no value, or credibility to auditing just one of these data bases. You gotta do both, or you're just wasting your time.
Daera (28 February 2010)
That's true before the Referspot DB and aff data was migrated over to the GP aff DB.
Microgaming assisted GP in the migration of data from Referspot the GP. Thus making it one (1) DB, that of Grand Prive` affiliates.
The Million dollar question. Does the Referspot DB and its aff data still exist?
If it doesn't, unfortunately this goose is sadly cooked.
Cheers
Dave
Since when did destroying the evidence absolve a crime?
It's just an artifice to allow eCOGRA to absolve Grand Privè and still lay claim to credibility. But like all gambling industry artifices, it's transparent and crumbles away at the slightest rational examination. Grand Prive is Grand Prive and the players are the players. Arguing about "who" is / has "what" is nothing but semantics. The principle does not change.
To what ends do you think eCOGRA and Microgaming will NOT go to whitewash this? The extent to which you buy into it is up to you.
Daera (28 February 2010)
They never backed up the database before attempting a migration?
If so, why should affs pay the price.
A player just paid 5k of his winnings for missing term number 73.
Daera (1 March 2010)
Anyone know how much ECOGRA got paid to do this so called 'Audit'?
So, are there still people out there that have the deluded belief that ECOGRAs main function is helping players and affiliates...
Codswallop.
I didn't take it out of context. I made a legal analogy. What exactly did you mean then?
You seemed to be suggesting that in the event that GP had destroyed the database, there was nothing more to be done on the matter.
I suspect if affiliates think their "goose is cooked" they will back off - at least one has already suggested such. Some people are now also buying into the "eCOGRA / Microgaming are blameless " fantasy. Jeez, people currently seem more concerned that some tinpot nobody has made a game package with slots that look like Microgaming's - which completely blows my mind.
The whole thing exudes negativity at this point.
Microgaming and eCOGRA are fully complicit in this, and their subsequent non-action in continuing to fully endorse Grand Prive will only strengthen ther complicity. And allow me to raise the stakes a tad at this point, and suggest that Microgaming and eCOGRA do not deserve to have their products finding their way into the US market any time soon, on the basis of this behaviour.
At the very least, I hope the APCW keeps up the pressure.
GamTrak (1 March 2010)
I am still waiting for Microgaming to say something.
If they don't do so sometime soon, I intend to be heard clearly in their offices.
Daera (2 March 2010)
APCW will be keeping the pressure up.At the very least, I hope the APCW keeps up the pressure.
In fact will be intensifying our efforts.

I wonder why that is Caruso? Could it be perhaps that the outfit in question is bordering on criminal and the likelihood of any player being able to cash out there is pretty close to no chance??Jeez, people currently seem more concerned that some tinpot nobody has made a game package with slots that look like Microgaming's - which completely blows my mind.
Don't believe me, then be my guest and play there - Do some research first hand. Then get back to me.
As for eCOGRA / Microgaming / Grand Prive - The audit/report whatever you want to call it, is flawed. I said that when it was first released and still stand by that opinion.

Hmm. Well, it appears they have. According to Bailey, the Microgaming CEO insists the audit was conducted "fairly".
Couldn't make it up, could you?
2+2=2
"Wrong", to a man I here you cry. "Surely 2+2=4?"
The answer is actually correct...if you leave out the second digit.
Like eCOGRA did.
Quite funny really. I mean, as ****-takes go, this one's right up there with the best.
Correction: he insisted that Grand Prive said it was done fairly. The above was already common knowledge, so we haven't learnt anything. My mistake for misreading this as something amounting to an announcement by Microgaming.
Microgaming's actual take on this is still unknown, as far as I know.
(<offtopic>If it should be of any relevance: just in case anyone doesn't know where to find me, I've been at every UK ICE for the past five years, the last two affiliate events, and will certainly be attending at least 50% of the future ones. If anyone should want to speak to me about anything whatsoever, they know where am - in case for whatever reason they were unsure. If you don't know what the hell I'm on about, please just ignore this note.</offtopic>)
