if i am wrong ...... I apologize....... but i didn't find this to be a personal invitation ...... as it neither mentioned my GPWA nickname ..... nor my real name..... meaning it is very unlikey this person knows me.

I will let The Guard do his homework and figure this out..

again.........I apologize if I am wrong .... but I don't see it if I am.
Almost Here! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? I've a plan that can make that happen and it will likely also tell you every time the player is active within the casino.

I received the same spam bb1web.

The member is most likely robertmedl

I found the same url in his signature on this thread:
    https://www.gpwa.org/forum/accelerat...ng-173071.html

I'm not one to complain and would have let it slide, but seeing how we are addressing it.. oh well.. lol

Personally I think there's a reason why there's a "link exchange" forum. Someone should email him and let him know what's expected here.

You be right Wager! Not sure why this member would take this route? Could have just ask members here?

I would have considered the request but not in the fashion it was presented. The email account this member used is reserved for other things.

Michael thanks for letting this member aware.

    Default My apologies!

    Hi all,

Mea culpa. I was unaware that the best way to approach getting a link exchange was to use the link exchange forum. I sincerely apologize and did not mean to spam folks... I was just trying to reach as many of the approved GPWA members as possible with my request.

    Again, I do apologize.

    Sincerely,

5 lashes with a wet noodle!!!

Thanks for posting Robert. It's no big deal in the overall picture. I've made tons of marketing mistakes when I was starting out. I tried link farms, mailing lists (when it was the "thing" in 2002).. and outsourcing link exchanges at getafreelancer.com .. all with catastrophic results to my own SEO efforts.

    Good luck Robert

    Robert,

No big deal I was just a little worried over the email you used. I am sure there are lots of GPWA members who would gladly exchange links.

considering your reply Robt ......I'm sorry i didn't bring this to you personally. I really thought it was some sort of a spam since I (don't think) I used the email you contacted me with ...... (maybe I was mistaken) .... so I thought it was some sort of really perversed approach by someone who was just using GPWA as a jumping board.

I'm both sorry but think i may have in the end .... saved you getting turned down by legit GPWA members.

PM'ing folks ...... or as i just am now finding out ..... the link exchange thread ..... is IMHO the way to go.

I don't know if I'm right .... but I found your email to be a form letter right off the bat and wouldn't have given it a second thought if you didn't mention the GPWA in the first place.

we all make mistakes. Hell I do all the time. You have taken the appropriate approach in addressing the matter and I respect you for that. PM me .... and though I usually don't do link exchanges...... and can't say whether my sites will be of any real use or not .... will consider a trade out.

many of my sites are now under a parntership with SEO (experts) and I leave them to the pros ..... but I can probably work out some kind of thing with you.

I hope this makes up for the thread. I really thought at first this was some kind of spam situation which was targeting GPWA members.

    Hope I'm forgiven.

Got this, too, last week. As he was GPWA and eCOGRA approved, I didn't think it was spam, but it didn't seem like a personalised request either, so I ignored it.

But as so many of you got the same email, it makes me wonder: did Robert get hold of a list with all our email addresses from somewhere or just manually get them from our profiles?

    Robert?

    Default source of email addresses

The source of the email addresses that I used in contacting GPWA members regarding a link exchange was through SEO Elite V4. This software can create a list of potential link partners from an existing page, and then it uses various methods of determining the email address to use to contact someone at each of the sites.

I pointed SEO Elite at the page of approved GPWA members, and addressed my email to the email addresses that the software provided.
