Damn....My sincerest condolences to his family. I never knew him face to face, but it was a pleasure knowing him on facebook and here.
Tragic news, I no longer have FB so can only imagine. My prayers continue to the family.

Allan poked me everyday on fb..............so sad.....my prayers to Patty and Melissa.
Real tears are not those that fall from the eyes and cover the face, but those that fall from the heart and cover the soul...
Patty, Allan, and my friends...
This is a horrific shock.
The day his daughter Jessica passed away I cried. Not because I knew her, but because I was so saddened by the suffering of one of the sweetest men and most sincere individuals I was ever blessed enough to call my friend. For those of you who never knew Allan or Patty, you missed out on two of the most kind, rooted, genuine, and happy people this world has ever made. And that's what makes all of this especially heartbreaking, because neither of them deserved the absolute train wreck that life threw at them over the past several years.
Allan was unique and hilarious. There were many phone calls over the years when the "Captain" had a few too many. It was fun to listen to him tell his stories and ramble on about things. But over the past few years, the dark weight of the world made our conversations more serious. I wish so badly there would have been some way to make it all better... but there wasn't. Still, no matter how bad things were, Allan always made sure he told you how much he loved you, every time he spoke to you... and he did love.
At the end of Hollywood movies, the "bad guy" dies and the "good guy" lives happily ever after with the woman of his dreams. And if life truly imitated art, Allan would be with us forever with Patty by his side. The thought of this industry without him sickens me. Patty, my God, I am completely baffled and lost for words. You of all people did not deserve any of this... especially not now. We love you and want you to somehow find the strength to hand on, although we know that's asking a lot. I am numb and shocked and waiting to wake up. We are all so, so, so sorry...

I met Allan a few times and found him to be a very sincere guy who would have given you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
The sorrow this family has endured the last few years is beyond imagination. May Patty have the strength to persevere through all of these trials and tribulations.
My sincerest condolences to his family...

Like so many others, although I've never spoken with Alan but his forum posts, Facebook messages and emails made me smile and made him a friend.
A sad loss for everyone that knew him and my sincerest condolences to his family.
This has indeed come as a great shock to me and I am at a loss of what happened. However it is comforting to know he has now joined his daughter who he so dearly missed and see her smile again.
Let me know if there is anything I can do.

This is a very sad day, and I will miss Allan.
Of all the folks at Casino City, Todd spoke with him often, and every word he said rings true to me.
The captain was a kind man with a big heart who often put a smile on my face.
He often posted videos here on the GPWA. I've quoted his last video post below.
My very sincere condolences to Patty, Melissa and everyone close to Allan.
