Am always surprised to see that the Head of Affiliates has time to respond yet the affiliate managers seem to be too busy to do what they are paid for...

Agree.... weren't it not that he doesn't seem to be able to teach them the fundamental basics of their job. One/two day(s) not responding to (potential) partners generally results in a (potential) customer lost...
I really do not understand with the fierce competition going on in our industry so many affiliate managers get away with lack of knowledge, being irresponsible, lack of follow up, unresponsive etc. etc.
And yes there are a few really good ones out there that really work their socks of for their resp. programs but... they are a minority!
Thanks for the feedback. I wish we were perfect, but like everyone we have our own set of challenges to overcome.
Rest assured my AM team are more than capable of doing the fundamental basics of their jobs, my role is to support them in this which is why I sometimes step in. There are plans in the pipeline to address this specific issue and all feedback on our performance is genuinely welcomed - it makes us better.

Appreciate defending the team, like a good Head of a team should do in public.
Nevertheless replying to the many complaints about the lack of response with excuses like "wish we were perfect" and "challenges to overcome" makes it sound like those who complain demand the next to impossible from your poor team... which is a bit of joke IMHO
