When you drink your body starts flushing out everything which is why you go to the toilet so much after you "break the seal" so when you're hungover you not only are dehydrated but your body is lacking things like salt, zinc, magnesium, etc etc. Getting all that stuff back in as soon as possible is what will make it not last as long.

We're fully booked with advertising inventory from good partners, no space, no new ventures, no conference schedule, and currently I have zero REAL plans to increase revenues from this event.

I'm left with only one PRO - it would be fun to do - and meet a few people. Ugggh ... apart from the 40 hours travel each way.
I think that I'll procrastinate a little longer - and then it will be too late to go!
If you do plan to go, I would love to have dinner with you. It's funny but being so close to some people we only tend to see each other on the other side of the world. If not I could always just pop over the pond for a weekend I suppose

I didn't go to Barcelona either. But I will be in London. I already booked everything. First LAC, then ICE and I'll end with SES. Almost 2 weeks London. I hope it doesn't rain to much during that time.

I'd definitely pack something warm and vaguely waterproof, plus a big sturdy umbrella! Apocalyptic winter coming here if you believe everything that the Express tell us...

Really disappointed that the normal Thursday-Sunday timings have changed this year, will probably only be able to do the Sunday which is a shame as the content of the presentations is usually pretty good on both middle days.

Looking forward to attending my first LAC, and I will be renting one of these in case anyone needs a lift.... Oh and also I'm hoping to attend a live showing of Top Gear BBC... So feel free to join me!

I also am not keen at all on working on a Sunday, as a rule, it's my day of rest. However, I have no choice but to travel to London on the Saturday, and stay in London, as it's a good four hours each way on a train for me.

My only assumption, and it is an assumption, and is in no way meant to cause offence, I could be very wrong, is that with a lot of the industry, i.e Playtech brands etc, now run from Israel, and obviously a growing number of Israeli delegates, who have perhaps reluctantly worked their Sabbath, i.e Friday and Saturday, whereas, if the conference is running from the evening of Saturday for pre-reg, and Sunday and Monday, for the exhibition, then this essentially means they aren't having to choose between working the Sabbath or not. This could be completely wrong, and it might be this is the only day Olympia was free? Either way, I will probably just do the Monday at the exhibition, the Sunday of LAC used to be a "tourist" day for me, and nobody ever really did anything on the Sunday anyway, besides maybe travel home, and/or the "Sunday session".

I would imagine that would affect ICE too though? And ICE is on the same days it usually is.

I believe it's more to do with Excel's contract with ICE. The best way for iGB to piggyback ICE was to do it on this weekend. Not ideal for me either but it is what it is. I'm missing registration and most of day one due to my sons 1st birthday, plus we have a booth - I hope Stephen can cope on his own?

Since I have to attend either way, it makes no difference which days the conference falls on.. we are going to have a super nice stand this year so everyone is welcome for drinks and more

@Renee, we have to make it a point to meet up this year. I think i may owe you a few drinks too..Lol

    regards,
    Rebecca

I'm veering towards not going now, my default position on these is I don't like big conferences anyway, but the days are definitely awkward and the weather at the mo is horrible. Maybe Amsterdam in summer...

I'm looking forward to it too. It's been a few years since we actually had a booth so I'm interested to see what difference it will make now.

Agreed. You're inside so much there's no time to feel cold. And at least you're not coming from 40C weather to rain/cold/snow. That is the only part that makes me dread LAC, although I'll be coming with a tan dark enough for everyone

I'm looking forward to it! For me it doesn't matter which day they organize it.

Renee, maybe you come from 40C weather. But you can also look forward to go back home to 40C weather. We will go back home to the same rain/cold/dark weather somewhere else in Europe...

Being from Austria, it is -15C and lower what I consider cold my friends.

We get that every winter. Looking forward to the show also.

It still means an entire week with no sun during summer, which is shite. You'll understand when you see my tan. To be fair, I probably don't need to be any darker than I am, but I'm a tanorexic and I need to be as tanned as possible! LOL

In any case, we will have a stand at A5 this year, so if anyone wants to come say hi please do so. I'm the one with the tan.
