manage multiple domains

Hello,
i spend most of my time working on 1 site (including blog and forums) and the work to do is much all days. I don't understand how can guys manage example 20 or more domains at the same time, posting news all days, link building, and all the rest ..this it's out of my immagination. Maybe they use softwares or companies that do the work for them.. suggestions??

It all depends on the workload, whether I am working on site A, B or C (or d,e,f). I often schedule a day on each site when things are getting crazy, spend Monday on one site, then Tuesday is another and so on. There are times when I will do 3-4 sites in one day if the tasks are small. Major changes may take several days and I focus my energy to that one site until the task is complete.

You could also choose to focus all your energy onto 1 site and make it a quality & authority site.

A lot of webmasters with medium to large networks will outsource article writing/rewriting at cheap prices (bulk = cheapness), and they can offset this cost by CPA, rev share (on acquisitions) or just by selling links or ad-placements. When you run a network, scalability and reduction of micromanagement are key. Have a look on sites like fiverr and you will find people willing to do practically anything, for the peanuts sum of £5! - all above board - and heck they probably speak any language you want.

Some webmasters of course choose to "pollute" the internet with low quality machine-generated content : you can take 1 article and "spin" it into many variants automatically, for cheap and cheerful (low quality, autogen) content - however getting caught doing the latter may result in triggering of penalties or filters which negatively affect site rankings.

Try creating yourself a spreadsheet, or if you have calendar use that to chop and change your time about.

I personally can't do one site, I get so bored with it! I have about 5 or 6 sites, and yeah, the downside is they are slow to get going, but I enjoy the work much more if I'm jumping around to different sites.

They also don't have a forum and the blog posts are just 1 to 2 times a week. I also have a schedule I should keep with these about when to do what (SEO, content, maintenance, etc)

If you look at most affiliate sites you will understand.

Most of these sites are dying or dead. And show little sign of real activity.
They are lifeless sites that get a couple of hundred random page visits a month.
Little repeat visits and no loyalty.

Keep to your strategy Lunaraurora - and make your site a site that people will return to again and ain for new information.
I think that will work much better than 20 static sites.

I'm currently managing around 30 websites for my company...
Believe me, it's really hard. Would like to focus more on one or two but the good thing is we also target other markets than gambling, e.g., movie sites etc. which makes it less boring to write content and look for link exchange partners...

Many CMS's such as wordpress and joomla allow you to schedule content - which is really handy for non-news articles and pages you want to drip feed in. Just prep all of the articles in one go and schedule them to go live whenever you want.

ah yes, I have some no gambling sites too, completely different with link building and content, it helps change it up a bit.

And yes, I love the scheduling on wordpress, especially since I"m in Europe, and a lot of my sites are US targeted, its nice to get things posted in the evenings my time when I'm not working because the US is awake.
