I'd like to compare the visitor numbers and site demographics of my boring old-fashioned desktop based site with any responsive site ... and see just what happens by visitor group. Preferably in the betting area so we are comparing similar things.

It would be interesting to see device breakdown, and page views between two sites - one that caters for mobile traffic and mine that does not. I have no idea what we might see.

For our part we get about 33% mobile/tablet traffic according to GA, and their page views are almost EXACTLY the same level as desktop users. They seem to manage just fine and I'd think high end iPhone 6 and expensive Samsung users will have no problems with the new huge screens they have.

My current thinking is that "Responsive design for small screens" usually results in "dumber" sites - less content - larger text - less reason to visit. But if someone has managed to create a good responsive layout that keeps the content of the original site then I'd love to see it.

At the moment I got around 25-30% of mobile and tablet traffic with my responsive site(s). Page views tend to stay around 3.00 per visit, bounce rate around 30%, session duration around 01:52. I'm seeing no difference in behavior between different devices.

I'm very happy with the layout, it's easy to read even on older phones with 4.3'' screen such as mine, and the site actually looks best on tablet. All the content is present in all versions.

Obviously the visitors are happy with the mobile versions of the site, otherwise their behavior would differ from the desktop users. In your case, Gooner, the visitors are likely very motivated to read the content because they're return visitors who already know your site.

all of my sites are being deployed as responsive, but I seem to find myself sacrificing some desktop elements to make things fit when you go mobile...just another thing to worry about

All are in this niche, for retail review websites I forward all mobile traffic using a script.
