My first big depositing customer!

I have been running my affiliate site for some 8 months now, and have finally been seeing some results. Although traffic is not coming up in the masses, I am getting better at converting.

I have had around 50-60 depositing customers in the last three months, but all of the 20 - 30 euro kind and most not returning. I estimate that 10 customers have stuck around and are now depositing on a regular basis.

This week I had a new customer that made a first deposit of 20 euro, at one of my weaker performing casino's that has not had more than 10 clicks up until now.

In the past three days he has made deposits of more than 1.300 euro in total. Maybe not a whale for most sites, but a whale for me. I am very excited and hope that he will stay with the casino for a long time....

This is absolutely normal for gambling business.
~5% of customers make ~95% of total income.

Always nice to see someone making money in this business! And I agree, your ratio sounds pretty standard. A bunch of minnows, then a bunch more minnows, then you finally hook a whale. It is the same thing for poker, except I suppose we try to catch sharks rather than whales.

You don't check your stats daily? I do so to make sure the programs are accurately reporting, to monitor our existing players, and yes, to see how much moola we made for the day!

I always remember seeing my first affiliate revenue on screen.... $6.00. We were whooping and hollering round the room. And it builds slowly, over time it increases, and cumulatively it picks up month by month until one day you look and think "jeez we're starting to make real money".

And often a whale will appear from absolutely nowhere, stick around for a few months, dropping BIG money then just as easily they will disappear. Nothing to do with you or what you did/didn't do.... just the way it is.
