rakebackengine[dot]com - [RESOLVED]

[Chips]

During one of my "routine" checks, I have found that rakebackpokerbonus.com was kind enough to steal a bulk of my content on my BigBet poker review page. Even snagged my screen shots (at least they are hosting them and not leaching).

If you promote poker, you may wish to check to see if your content is safe.

Messages sent to the owner, time allotted for removal before I go the next step.

Why can't people do their own work. Maybe I am writing to good?

edit: The website is auto populated with content served from RakeBackEngine.com. I have started steps against the guilty party. There are around 52 skins on the network and nearly all have the same content. So the true thief is rackbackengine

I see they're a Rakeback Engine skin so if the guy does not comply, you can go over his head. They likely won't want any negative publicity.

Well, I reckon we are off to the races. Time to break out the DCMA forms.. here is the owner's reply:

False - that whole website is a standard cookie cutter operation of xxwww.RakebackEngine.com they handle the software, content, everything.

Kiss my ass with your threats and contact them as I didn't copy ****.

[Chips]

It gets even better, after viewing another site that uses rakeback engine, the content appears there too. Now I am super pissed!

[jschmuch]

I just looked at 4-5 rakeback engine sites and they do all have the same review for Big Bet.

Looks like you should be going after them, not there customers.

Already am. One copy is bad enough let alone 52!

[jschmuch]

Good luck with that. Maybe you should change the subject line to rakeback engine thieves to.

Reported to mods, I can not change the title. They can though.

Hi

I'm very sorry about this, but i would hope next time someone would contact us direcly through our site rather than make public allegations about being thieves!

For what it's worth we paid for reviews of the poker rooms to be used as our default text.

Unfortunately it's us who have been ripped off as we thought we had paid for unique content!!

None the less the content and reviews will be removed asap and we'll have another review up there shortly.

Regards
Tim

Thank you Tim for handling this situation.

I did contact your website directly via email earlier today. The address I sent to was "support [at]rakebackengine.com" although no one has responded to this point. I appreciate your attention to this matter.

[Anthony]

I changed the title of the thread.

[rakebackengine]

just fyi - the bad content has been removed and a new review is now live. again sorry about this, but as mentioned, we paid for a "review" to be written and certainly didn't expect it to be copy pasted from elsewhere.

i hope this case is now closed :P
