Which Search Engine brings most traffic?

It will be interesting to know from which search engine the highest number of queries come to your website. In our case, it is Yahoo that brings slightly over 50% of the traffic followed by Google and Bing.

Google gives me as much traffic as all the others do in the entire month. I used to have luck with Yahoo a few years ago, but they are now a distant second.

I'm surprised yahoo does so well for you guys.. Nandakishore are you targeting yahoo in some special way? up until now I've been more focussed on google so I haven't tried to go after yahoo specifically. I remember a long time ago (in another industry) when yahoo and Google were doing PPC I was getting much better conversions on yahoo traffic compared to Google PPC. I wonder if it's the same with organic traffic. Unfortunetely I don't have the metrics to tell on my end.

Anyway, here's my overall stats:

Google 85%
Yahoo 10% (slightly less)
Bing 2-3 %
All others 1-2%

Google for me, across all of my sites including those which are not in the gambling sector. Although I am looking to increase the exposure and thus clickthrus in the other engines all the time

Google accounts for more than 75% of SE traffic across my sites.
I have not optimized for the others though, so the numbers are just about where I expected they would be.

Nandakishore are you targeting yahoo in some special way?

I have used Google Analytics stats to optimize those urls which were addressed by queries from google and yahoo, but primarily those which didn't have the highest number of queries. This approch has worked better for yahoo than google to improve the results.

Google and it isn't even close. A couple years ago Yahoo was sending the most traffic, but once rankings improved for us, it's been all Google. Bing barely registers, which is sad after how much advertising they have put into it.

I do 98% of my traffic from Google. I have mostly Swedish visitors.

Most definitely google, but i am also syndicated on google news which helps bump up the numbers, but to be honest i have very rarely even had a hit from Bing or Yahoo, and i have over 100,000 unique visitors a month!

Big G crushes all others on all my sites but Bing has been making up ground and I am seeing more traffic from them lately. I always did well with MSN so it stands to reason that Bing growing I would see more growth.

As far as Yahoo, I have always struggled growing the traffic there. I may have #1 spots on G and B but be on page 2 with Y.

I'm in pretty much the same boat as Chips. Most traffic from Google but Bing starting to catch up. Virtually nothing from Yahoo any longer.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when Yahoo starts using MSN's results.
