site not appearing

I have a site I mainly used for PPC over the last year or so but recently developed it properly and now it doesn't seem to appear in google at all even searchng site:http://www.domain.com

Anyone know why? or what I can do about this?

Alex,

Site domain.com is index by Google and is searchable unless you’re pulling my leg lol. I quickly found it under several different keywords and keyword word strings using Google.

EG.

Google Search: Domain
Results: 349 Million Indexed Pages

Alex your site ranks number 1! I found no problems.

I believe alex was using domain.com as an example.

post the actual domain alex, or PM to me and greek. I'll take a look and let you know what i think.

you should use www.example.com

These domain names are reserved for use in documentation and are not available for registration.

And yet example.com has a PR of 8 and is 16612 on Alexa

It can be because of many many factors, i recently recovered a banned domain which i bought by mistake (have not checked it) http://www.casinogamblingonline.org and now it's indexed.

BTW: Beware when buying an expired or old domains. Make sure that they are not baned and not used for 301 redirect.

Pm'd you now - Its not appearing any search engines so someone reckons it might just be a glitch and not banned, I bought it new aroudn 2 yrs ago but wasn't really using it for organic search until now

Put some social bookmarks on it. That way I can index all my sites within 24-48h.

Can you post your domain here Alex so that we can analyze it. There are many factors why Google penalized or ban a specific sites specially if our niche is about the casino. Don't get confuse, maybe you've done promotion that triggers google to put you down.

1). Generate an XML site map for your site.

2). Submit it in Google Webmaster tools

3). Generate robots.txt like this:

Allow: /
Disallow: /cgi-bin/

3). Wait a 1-2 month.

4). If your site still not indexed, request a google reconsideration by writing to Google. If you bought this domain from another user, or it was expired, tell G that you'r the new owner of the domain.

I have to say I am massively impressed with this community - I have been "tinkering" around as an affiliate but don't really like to shout about it as I am certainly not super but the amount of PM's and help that has been offered is incredible espcially when you bare in mind the fact that affiliates are in effect competitors.

With all these threads saying that the forums have gone off on a tangent and people are being rude to eachother this is a great example of the complete opposite!

Well if it is a gaming site, personally I think you should have listed a link to the site here.

That would have saved others requesting the site by pm, and second, if it is a gamng site and since this is a public thread Google would have picked up the link and possibly indexed the site seeing the new link to it.

I agree with Alex though, if you do not have an xml sitemap, often this is a quick way to get a site indexed that has not been.

It also wouldn't hurt to drop it on Bing as well.

Re posting the domain - I agree but I just don't like to mix buisness with pleasure

Although more seriously I don't really want to post the link as a) I think these forums have some not so nice people who like to scrape etc etc, b) I want to keep my sites on the downlow until they are decent and driving good traffic as I am a little embaressed so would like to ensure they are up to scratch before I start putting them about

Well actually, my guess is that you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of in terms of a quality site etc....

And you are right that there are at times others who may want to scrape etc...BUT....predominantly those are NOT private members here, and if/when that is found out they are always raked over as many hot coals as we can find...

Besides, those that scrape, will eventually see your site anyway...sadly.

Yep have links already out there - Not many but some. Going to try various suggestions and speaking to my webmaster so hopefully all will be sorted soon
