Interesting to know someone is making something. I've spoken to a lot of big affiliates over the years and have never come across anyone who makes good money. I started to wonder whether there were "legit" reasons for this - perhaps the way they calculate net revenue is more tight than other programs, or perhaps they attract a lot of bonus seekers, or just don't attract big players or retain them, as any serious punter who turns over thousands a week would go elsewhere for better odds and incentives. It's a mystery.

Found them good to be honest, usually retain their players well. Like I said, not very often I dont do well with them. Might worth adding I am on 35% rev share across all platforms with them

True, I've found them honest and helpful at conferences, and one of their affiliate managers won sports manager of the year last time out, so they're doing something right. I always promote their crazy prices offers, but as with a lot of sportsbooks these days it's tough to get new registrations. It's a difficult thing to gauge when someone tells you they do well from a particular bookie, as I've known people who make 6 figures a year out of some bookies alone, but most of their sign ups came from years ago when there was a lot of low hanging fruit to be picked!

Why would "First Time Deposits" for a brand (say Sugar Bingo for example) show up as 10 first time deposits on the "home page" report (activity from 1 June to 18 June) and yet show up as 19 first time deposits on the earnings report (1 June to 18 June)?

For background, the columns are named the same ("First Time Deposits"). Thus, there's no difference in how they're named...

Please note that this is a question from a GPWA member and I do expect an answer from the appropriate GPWA silver sponsor representative.

    Hi Shay,

Can you please let us know the criteria that you are running the earnings report by?

If you are running the report by "Date", you would see a difference due to the way our reports filter. If you run the report without any criteria, or by "member" you should see the numbers match up.

    Please let us know.

    Cheers,
    Allan

    Allen,

Thanks for a quick and to the point response.

    Here's what I get:

    1. Numbers match with no filter.
    2. Numbers match when running the filter by site profile.
    3. Numbers do not match when running the filter by date.
    4. Numbers do not match when running the filter by date & site profile.

Can you elaborate on what exactly causes the difference is for the different filters that would logically explain off the different resulty?

To me, it looks like there are a number of first time deposits from players who registered in months prior to June (when I run the report that does not match).

    Cheers,

    Shay

Also looking at Gala Partners this morning. Is it my imagination or has the configuration of the links changed?

Namely, the way I have had and seen, the link is configured xxxaffiliates.galapartners.co.uk/processing/...

    Now, I am seeing xxxwlgalainteractive.adsrv.eacdn.com/...

Additionally, what exactly is the significance of this change? Namely, other than the URL changing, what exactly has changed and why has it changed?

Again, questions are from GPWA public member to GPWA Income Access program's silver sponsor rep (expect a reply to question).

So in summary, here are my questions

    1. Has the configuration of the affiliate tracking links changed?

    2. If so, what exactly is this change?

    3. When was the change implemented?

    4. What is the story with the old links (do they still track)?

    5. Why exactly was this change implemented?

    Cheers,

    Shay

    xxxxx.adsrv.eacdn.com/

I uncovered this service last December when they allowed their security certificate to expire - so stopped serving ads.
    ( see https://www.gpwa.org/forum/income-ac...ed-220685.html )

It's a company called Ecom Access - a related company to Income Access - also set-up by Nicky Senyard.
Looking at the domain I assume it's just the adserver - and Gala have moved from in-house ad serving to a fully supplied Income Access solution.

Whether it's related to a reduction in signups is impossible to tell - if your prime markets are Northern Hemisphere (UK, Europe, North America) then remember that June is holiday month and signups are usually way down from these regions.

For the bingo market (in the UK), June is a prime month historically speaking in terms of earnings and signups (from our experience). I know many others cite holidays and slow activity, but I've always found it exactly the opposite.

June isn't a holiday month in the UK, July and beginning of August are

My stats are showing activity but no clicks for bgo yesterday (June 20). People clicked yesterday but the IA report is not showing them.

Just checked...registrations and activity showing for yesterday and today, but no clicks. So it is the same for me.

This just makes me think that the 5 days in a row I had no registration IS a failed import of stats.

Just received an email from our Gala Bingo rep addressing the "new links"...

    Hi everyone,

We have new tracking links in Income access.
The main will gain from it is the ability to view IP address, referral and GEO per click/FTD. The features are fully enabled for GalaBingo and GalaCasino desktop. Mobile to be followed soon.

    Example instructions:

    (removed link)

Site ID – needs to be paste in two placements
Banner ID - needs to be paste in two placements
Affiliate ID (NEW) – needs to be paste in one placement only
ACID - needs to be paste in one placement only

Please make the changes until mid-July as we will deactivate the old links. Let me know if you need me to send you the new links.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks
    Sabina
    My questions:

    1. Why did this email not go out before the new links went live?

    2. Are you sure you didn't "deactivate" the links already?

    3. Why do the links need to be "deactivated" at all? They can simply be redirected within the server...

Clicks at bgo buddies are still not registering. Why is this?

    Hey Shay,

Thanks for all your questions. Please see feedback related to each topic below.

Quote Originally Posted by -Shay- View Post

There was a delay in the imports of the traffic stats for BGO, which was fixed earlier today. The clicks should now be up to date in your reports.

With regards to Gala Bingo link change, to give you more context, as TheGooner said, “adsrv.eacdn.com” is our adserver. This is a more elevated ad serving functionality that uses a post-view capability as well as app tracking capability that was launched last year. It gives operators more insight on user behaviour and allows them to better optimise their creative and campaigns for different markets, languages, device, time of day, among some of the key benefits. This will also help affiliates access better optimised tools to help convert traffic more effectively.

With regards to the old links, they will continue to track as the disabling functionality is no longer available. When links are deactivated or made inactive, it means they will not be visible to anyone who is not using them and will continue to track on sites already published on. However, it is important to stress that you should eventually update your links, particularly so you benefit from using optimised tools and running current campaigns. Also, there is always a risk of landing urls used on old links being removed from a website, which could lead to your links breaking as inactive links are not modified.

Lastly, regarding the difference in the reports when filtered by date and what a First Time Deposit is:
“To me, it looks like there are a number of first time deposits from players who registered in months prior to June (when I run the report that does not match). ”

You are right, a First Time Deposit (FTD) is a player that makes their first deposit in the period you are running the report, irrespective of when they registered. I.e., the player may have registered in May and made their first deposit in June. A New Depositing Account or Player (NDA) on the other hand looks at both the registration date of the player and when they made their first deposit. I.e., the player would be a NDA in June if they registered and made their first deposit in June. You will notice that the FTD count is generally higher than the NDA count for this reason. In terms of the difference when using filters, the reason there is a difference if you filter by date is because the count factors all activity in that date range, e.g., if I register on 10 June and make a deposit on 10 June and again on 20 June, I would count as 1 NDA when running the report for the month of June, however I would count as a NDA if you run the report for 10 June and 20 June.

We hope the above context helps answer your queries.

As always, do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any additional questions.

    Best regards,

    Corey

    Corey,

Thanks for your response. The bgo clicks updated but are not up to date. The data I should have for today is far short of what is reported.

As far as the filtering questions, I was making reference to the "First Time Deposits" in the Quick Stats and the "First Time Deposits" in the Earnings Report. I am not in any way, shape, or form talking about New Accounts, Active Accounts, or NDA or anything other than "Apples" to "Apples".

They should all match if they are the same thing (they are labelled the same), should they not?
