Haha brilliant. My first PC (2000ish) had Windows ME and my God that was awful. I had that many problems I had to go back to Windows 98.
Amazing how long it used to take on AOL dial-up, and then your phone line was taken up so no-one could ring the house.
Windows XP was the real God-send, I still used that on my main PC up until about 18 months ago! So stable and just worked.
Jeez, that made me feel old!! Just goes to show how quickly technology has advanced

I feel really old now. I remember the time before Windows when working direct in MS-DOS was cutting edge!!!![]()
Reminds me of my high school computer lessons. MS-DOS really turned me off. No wonder I hated computing back then![]()

Dunno about you guys, but stuff like this makes me appreciate my life a bit more.
When I was a kid, we didn't have phones and tablets etc. We played outside and came home when the street lights were on or when my dad called me from down the street. I feel bad that kids these days don't really do that anymore.

Not having wi-fi is the worst thing that can happen to you, mostly 'cause it's free.
haha that was epic. There is also teens react to altavista![]()
Haha, this is great! I remember it.... My dad used to let us have a certain time on the dial up in the evenings - only it was so slow, that you really didn't manage to 'surf' much at all
I also remember the MS DOS PC's.. So ancient now with their dark screens and floppy disks..
These days though, I like to think that i'm fine with going out and not having a Wifi Connection though....![]()

LOL, sooo funny! this makes me realise, although making me feel old to, how lucky I am to have lived through and with the development of computers. I think knowing the basics of older computers and programming systems perhaps gives us older guys a bit of an edge! When one of the young girls talked about a floppy she was actually referring to a stiffy hahaha

What? That's impossible, they are not so small kids.. It looks like a good acting for me.
Lol yuup im getting Older not wiser mind you .. but ye i also spent most of my days playing outdoors no computer in site
Yeah I'm starting to think it's a crock. They're a bit too old to be reacting like that since a lot of them probably grew up on 98, ME and XP (which aren't all that different).

Theres a computer at my work that still uses Windows ME....awful machine
Haha this is awesome. I actually MISS win95! I remember when I first got it - what a magical time.
Haha, you made me bring back my first PC memories. It was like something sacred for me at that time. I didn't quite know how to use it and what to do with it, but it was so white and I used to just sit beside it and watch and click icons and enjoy discovering.
But, on the other hand when I remember it restarting unexpectedly, reporting bugs and dial-up internet that breaks 5 times per hour... no thanks!![]()
