What's the story with Casino Shield?

I've just been spammed about Casino Shield, and I read it because it arrived at an email addy that isn't public.

It looks like a stupid thing to promote. They want me to persuade my players to download some bit of software that runs while they are playing, in return I am able to buy advertising on it. Well first off I don't want my players reading advertising for other casinos with other people's codes on it.

Secondly I don't trust these downloaded routines. There are already several toolbars and other programs that are changing affiliate links and stealing commission. No way would I suggest that a surfer should download this. I'd rather give him a utily to get rid of it and check his computer.

Am I missing something here?

If you are a distributor of Casino Shield and someone downloaded it from a link on your website they would never see anyone’s ads but yours within Casino Shield.

We are not a gator - we only want to do 2 things; help gamblers have more privacy and security on their computers concerning gambling; and help portals get more exposure to their clients without having to spam them.

We have many people that have signed up as distributors already. So far the reaction form gamblers and portals is very positive – portals are already reporting that they have had a new signups due to ads being shown in Casino Shield.

We are just trying to help portals and release a good product - please let us know the best way.

I can't justify "paying" you for the privledge of carrying a banner to direct traffic back to my site, not when I sent you the player to start with.

If an affiliate does NOT agree to your little banner deal, exactly what advertising will they see in the software?

Hi folks,

I've checked into this software, and so far I'm giving it a try.

First, the advertising doesn't cost me anything, and when someone downloads from my link, they only see the ads I put there, and a link back to my site. I'm willing to give it a try, provided it remains spyware free and isn't promoted through spam.

From the terms I read, it only stays free for 30 days.

Is that incorrect?

I have in fact had some in depth discussions with these guys, and they do appear to be genuinely apologetic for any problems created. That said, they believe wholly in their product, and based on the posts made by them, and the emails received from them, I believe they realized where they have gone wrong in their efforts to market their product.

I too am registered with them now, so I can look deeper into this. As far as cost, I haven't actually investigated it far enough to see what's involved, though I have watch the flash tutorials that they have on their site, and it seems easy enough to use.

Some mistakes were made. It's the action you take after having those mistakes pointed out, is what dictates the direction we end up going in the long run.

Now, I am busy at the moment, but perhaps tomorrow, I will have time to look at their product closer, at which time I will post again and give my thoughts of it.

Hmmm, ok...
Casino Shield will show your customers your ads and your logo/Website URL every time that they play a casino game. Even if they never click on an ad (they don't click, you don't pay) the constant exposure to your name and logo will encourage them to go back to your site, it's brand recognition.

We all know that the more times a customer sees an ad the more chance they are going to react to it. Casino Shield increases your exposure dramatically. Just try it and see if it helps - we give you the first month for free.

Here is a step-by-step on what to expect from being a distributor

Custom branded Casino Shield - After you sign-up we create you a custom branded version of casino shield, we also give you ads to put on your site or we can build you a custom ad for your site, all of this we do for FREE.

Casino Shield Ad Server - Next, you are able to place ads in the Casino Shield ad server. These ads are shown to your customers every time that they open Casino Shield to play an online casino game.

Customer downloads and installs - Once you are signed up and have loaded your ads then you can start letting your customers download and install your branded version of Casino Shield. Once your customers install your version of Casino Shield they are "protected"; which means that even if they try to download it and install it from another portal it will not remove yours and it will block the new one. Your customers will stay your customers.

Free advertisements - For the first month all the ads are FREE, we do not charge for how many times they are shown, clicked, or any thing for the first month. After the first month we give you 50 FREE "raw" clicks and then after those first 50 we begin to tally up "billable" clicks. Billable clicks are only tallied as 1 click per day per ad per person; which means that if someone clicks on the same ad 1 time or 10,000 times in one day it is still only tallied as 1 billable click.

Rate for billable clicks - Once all the FREE clicks are exhausted we bill you at a rate of 12.5 cents(US) per billable click on a Pre-Pay basis and 25 cents(US) per billable click on a Post-Pay basis. Pre-Pay is based on an estimate of how many clicks you will get in the coming month. If you choose to Post-Pay clicks (after they occur) then we just send you a bill on the last day of the month and you can pay via Credit Card or by check before the 15th of the month.

Stopping service - You can discontinue service at any time and your ads are stopped from showing to your customers within Casino Shield. You have 2 months to start paying and have your ads start showing to your customers again. That is correct - only the first 30 days, then it is CPC.

1. We are providing a tool that lets you advertise to your customers 10x more than you can right now. How often do you get to advertise to your customers right now? When THEY choose to come to your site, When you SEND them email and THEY choose to read it and not treat it like junk mail? We give you a tool that allows you to advertise to them EVERY TIME they want to play any casino. Up until now that kind of exposure was only for Microgaming or playtech or the creator of the casino - now that power is in your hands. Consider it like this, let’s say you own a McDonalds, we are giving you a tool that lets you advertise your food inside your customers refrigerators. Due to a recent possible security breach,

I recommend that if you have signed up for this program, and you use a password that is the same or similar in ANY way at other properties, that you now change your passwords at those other properties.

I understand that the breach was supposedly only for a short time, but to be on the safe side of things, I stand on my recommendation.

If you use totally and completly "unique" passwords, you should not have any problems.

No, you are paying to promote yourself - you pay for clicks. Casino shield is simply another avenue to be able to communicate with your customers. one that helps them and helps you.

Is there another program that lets you advertise to your customers more than Casino Shield will without SPAMing them? With Casino Shield on your customer’s desktop you can advertise to them every time they play a casino game, what is not good about that? Its simple math, I’m sure each of you knows how many times an ad has to be shown before someone clicks on it and then how many times someone clicks on it before they deposit cash. It's easy - more ad exposure means more money to you. What’s not to love, seriously? I guess I’m the one that doesn't get it.

We are very very open to any other solutions that someone thinks is a better way to do this. So far everyone that has signed up is seeing this as a very positive program. More exposure to casinos that they make money from every time someone is ready to play - "it’s a no brainer" says a few of our distributors.

Again, we are open to trying something else if anyone has any ideas.

There is no charge what so ever to promote Casino Shield. Simply place a banner on your homepage, get your players to download it and they will secure their casinos into your customizable version. Your players will see no banners other than your tagged ads. Everytime they launch their casino they will see your tagged ads. Once in the casino, Casino Shield is removed from the screen. They play just as they always have. They will ONLY SEE YOUR AD. No one elses. If they don't click on your ads, then you pay nothing. If they do and sign up well you get your $ 50 CPA for the lost CPC price. We only get paid for the low cost CPC. Thats it. Its a risk free simple program to get your players seeing your ads. 12.5 cent(US) CPC to receive a $ 50 CPA and risk free. That is the CS program.

honestly, the chances of someone installing casino shield a second time over the original version they already have is very remote.

we will never ask someone to install another version or promote another portals casino shield to your customers. We really want this to be a good thing for the portals. Please tell us what you think would be a good, fair way to handle this.

Very few...if ANY affiliate programs allow a client to be given to another affiliate....EVER!!!!!!
