Default Why promoting the right payment method increases the conversion of your referrals?

    Hi everyone!
This week I’d like to cover how we can help you to increase your real money player conversion by offering your players the right payment option.

To kick off, any online gamer, whether with a small or big budget, has specific needs to deposit money. Deposit methods are therefore crucial in the conversion of the player to a real money player. In certain countries like Germany you would for example loose 90% of your customers if only offering credit cards. The following three factors play an important role on the conversion: security, cost advantage and convenience of the deposit method. Of ocurse this is our own perception of our services, but you can use it to promote us to your customers and earning your extra rev-share.

    Security <o></o>
Especially first time depositors want to know if the payment method is secure. With an eWallet like Moneybookers you gain several advantages in terms of security:

    • No need to disclose any banking details in the internet anymore. Real money players only need to store their relevant bank details in one place and can pay at all gaming sites where the Moneybookers eWallet is accepted.
    • All payment details are stored in an account which is protected with the highest security measures. A security token device is available for each account.
    • Moneybookers risk & fraud teams have 10 years of experience, having one of the most experienced Risk and Anti-Fraud teams in the industry, ensuring all funds are safe.<o></o>

    <o></o>
    Cost advantage<o></o>
Having an eWallet is often more cost efficient than payment methods like a credit card. A credit card often has ‘hidden’ charges as interest rates and annual fees as well as high FX rates. Moneybookers customers benefit from:

    • Free sign-up for a Moneybookers account and no service fees for using the account.<o></o>
    • Free Deposits & Withdrawals at all Gaming sites and other eCommerce sites.<o></o>
    • Small and very competitive fees <!--[if !supportAnnotations]--><!--[endif]--> for uploading and withdrawing money in 41 currencies and over 100 payment methods globally.
    • Lowest fee in the market for sending money globally.

    <o></o>
    Convenience
Once your Moneybookers referral has made his first payment with the eWallet (or any other of the many supported local deposit methods), he is more likely to make recurring deposits, due to the fact that he now has a “dedicated” account for his gaming activity. So to say, the money doesn’t “compete” with the cash on his bank account which he might use for other things. The conveniences of having the Moneybookers eWallet are:

    • Open a Moneybookers account in 1 step - a matter of minutes.<!--[if !supportAnnotations]--><!--[endif]-->
    • Add all favourite payment options in one profile, so you can pay wherever your are. Moneybookers supports over 100 deposit methods besides the eWallet. So there is always a deposit method of choice for your referrals.
    • Simply pay with email & password.
    • Pay and withdraw Money instantly - move money online globally in real-time.
    • Send money to anybody that has an email address.
    • Instantly access the money on your Moneybookers account with a Moneybookers MasterCard® prepaid card <!--[if !supportAnnotations]--> available for EU citizens.
    • Benefit from customer support in 12 languages – Moneybookers assistance is available 24/7

    <o></o>
Next week, I’ will give you a bit more input on the eWallet as deposit method itself. If meanwhile you have any comments or suggestions – I’m here to help.<o></o>
    Cheers,<o></o>
    Rossen<o></o>

    Hi greek39,

The Moneybookers MasterCard® prepaid card is available to EU residents only. It means that if you are living in an EU member country - the Moneybookers MasterCard® prepaid card is available for you.

The reason for asking is because last year I closed my account due to the verification process. I had the account for approx 2 years and was ask to re-verify my banking details. I initiated the process and small amount was deposited into my Canadian bank account. The banking intuition converted the Euro amount into Canadian funds.

However, returning back to Moneybookers to verify it requested the Euro amount. I made every attempt to convert Can$ into Euros but proved to be impossible. Anyway the account remained in verified status and after several attempts to correct i gave up. I then closed the account leaving a small balance.

So the question is obvious. Is moneybookers a international e-wallet if so why are they unable to deal in multiple currencies?

I have been approached by several people asking the question.

    Hi again,

Your question is pretty common indeed. Please read below how it goes in order to fulfill the verification.

When verifying a credit or debit card we withdraw a small amount from your card and deposit it in your Moneybookers account. Where account currency is different from EUR and is USD, GBP, SGD, HKD, SEK, NOK or DKK, PLN we debit similar random amount in that currency. If the currency is not from the previously listed - the withdrawal from your card will be in EUR. However if your credit or debit card is in a different currency than your Moneybookers account, the amount withdrawn that you'll see in online banking will be in your card currency after FX. Still you need to enter the original amount that was withdrawn. This can be done in 3 ways:

    1. In your online banking account (section "transactions") you find the transaction (Moneybookers will be a part of the name) and see the original amount in the respective currency (in most cases it is present there).
    2. In your monthly statement (in paper) you find the transaction and see the initial amount in the respective currency(in most cases it is present there).
    3. If the initial amount is not displayed in your online banking account (or statement) - you can send a screen shot of the particular transaction (Moneybookers will be a part of the name) to our CS department and your account will be verified manually.

Bottom line is that you need to check your Moneybookers account and see in what currency the system wants you to enter the verification amount - then you need to find this amount in your statement & place it in the field.

If you are verifying a bank account (not a card) the process is practically the same. It is just that you need to enter the code of the transaction (not the amount withdrawn).

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Rossen

    Hey Rossen

I use Moneybookers all the time and like you guys but do have a question,

The EU is freedom of movement and trade etc, but if you move from one EU state to another you have to close your moneybookers account and open up a new one in your new country.

It seems you can only change address within one country in the EU,

My question is, is that still the case? and if it is, shouldn't Moneybookers make it it EU wide and not just country specific when changing address?

    Thanks in advance

    Greek39,

I just wanted also to mention that the payments are made in Euro as this is the official company currency. Still we do support 40 more different currencies.

    Hi Betpartners,

    Thanks for your question, too.

You can actually change your address no matter if you are moving within a particular state, or to another state (no matter if it is in EU or not) - and you do not need to close your account.

Still for the change of address you need to send us proper Address Verification, which is a utility bill or bank statement not older than 3 months.

    Best,

    Thanks for response,

Just checked again and yes indeed, seems you are correct, thing is in the past when i tried to do this and emailed moneybookers i received the response that i must close my account and open a new one.

Probably a misunderstanding, i will try again

Thanks Rossen, you have been a great help

    Hi Rick,

Please, excuse me for the delayed answer.

If you refer to the acceptance of US affiliates, the availability of our Moneybookers Prepaid MasterCard, and a sub-affiliate program - you can find the answers to these 3 questions in the thread "Moneybookers Affiliate Program".

If there's anything else - please do not hesitate to ask.

    Best,
    Rossen

    Hi Terry,

Thanks for your remark. I find it relevant to direct the attention of Rick that his questions have already been answered in the same thread where he posted them.

As I perceive that the answers to those questions might be interesting to you, too - I am more than happy to bring them to your knowledge here:

    1) We cannot legally accept US affiliates

    2) Currently the Moneybookers Prepaid MasterCard is available only to EU residents.

    3) We do not have a fully-automated sub-affiliate program yet in place. Still our system provides to possibility to tailor such a solution (depending on the case and number of tiers) and make it work.

    Hope that helps.

No, there have been NO ANSWERS to the questions I have asked.

In fact, the post I was referring to is in a thread all by itself, and NO ONE else has posted in that thread at the time of this writing.

    https://www.gpwa.org/forum/showthrea...672#post610672

And, answering me as you did will not get you very far with some, but oh well....

And the fact that you are NOW stating that you can not accept affiliates from the US, that should have been made very clear up front.

Is the fact that you do NOT accept affiliates from the United States in your terms of service?

Is this an actual fact, or just something you posted in the public thread so that you do not have to field morte questions?

If you find that you have signed up some affiliates from the US, will you now contact them and explain to them they can not promote your products, or will you allow them to continue and only use that against them when it comes time for them to get paid?

Since the United States is restricted from promoting your products, could you possibly post an official list of the countries which are disallowed from promoting your products?

    Rick
    Universal4

Side note: Did you think it was ok to set up a forum here but have an attitude that you have no plans on answering the questions of all affiliates but only intended on answering the questions you felt were ok?

affiliates from the United States in your terms of service?

Please see a quote from our Terms and Conditions, section 11 (Prohibited Transactions): Countries where online gambling is illegal include the United States of America, Turkey, China, Malaysia and Israel.

Is this an actual fact, or just something you posted in the public thread so that you do not have to field morte questions?

It is a fact – we do not accept US affiliates, as we are legally not allowed to.

If you find that you have signed up some affiliates from the US, will you now contact them and explain to them they can not promote your products, or will you allow them to continue and only use that against them when it comes time for them to get paid?

US funds cannot be used for gaming purposes - the account will be locked automatically.
More - we pay the revenue share automatically on a daily basis. We would never use such an approach for not paying an affiliate.

Since the United States is restricted from promoting your products, could you possibly post an official list of the countries which are disallowed from promoting your products?

As stated in one of the previous answers, the countries where online gambling is illegal include the United States of America, Turkey, China, Malaysia and Israel.

Rick, I do intend to answer all the questions that may arise, please do forgive me if I miss or am slow on some, as it is humanly possible.

I hope that these answers clarify clearly the questions you have.

Thank you for starting down the road to making it clear that US Affiliates are not allowed to promote your products.

Why is it then that Money Bookers has both a US logon and a Moneybookers International logon?

US Moneybookers members may log on and then click a link to Moneybookers International.

It appears to me that all services such as shopping enabling EBay etc as well as other account items are all available to US Moneybookers account holders, so if this is all restricted, why are US Moneybooker account holders even allowed to log on?

If you refer to the acceptance of US affiliates, the availability of our Moneybookers Prepaid MasterCard, and a sub-affiliate program - you can find the answers to these 3 questions in the thread "Moneybookers Affiliate Program".

If there's anything else - please do not bother to ask.

Have to jump in here and join the consensus that this is not the way to progress on this forum.

Rossen you answered my question politely enough and you were helpful, but your treatment of Rick in both not originally answering his question and then that statement is just unprofessional.

Not sure if you actually apologised, the only apology i see is for missing a question and not sure an apology now would be seen as genuine anyway.

Some advice Rossen for what it is worth, if you want to promote moneybookers positively on here then start afresh and be far more responsive to all questions and be polite.

We are a forgiving bunch on here, you will get to see that but we dont like being treated with disrespect and that is what you did to Rick.

I'm in no position to defend Rossen because I actually don't rate the customer support of MB one little bit, but personally I assumed it was just a grammar error and that Rossen meant to say "please don't HESITATE to ask" rather than "please don't bother"

Wow, Betpartners, RBS, you're right, that's a weird mistake from my side!

Rick, if you've perceived it the way it was written - apologies for that!

Anyway - you can be sure I do not feel, think or will ever write something like that (if not by mistake).

Of course I meant "Please, do not hesitate to ask".

    Cheers,
