A scam is where someone takes something and doesn't own up to what is owed. Everything else we have said is true and correct.

At the end of the day, We had sent a proposal to the casino, They refused to reply. What more can we do when a casino says We want our money back if we do not have it right at that time.

I will however be seeking advise on what Jaxon has done.

If we had of stolen the money with no intentions of paying it back we would have not bothered to try and fix the issue. End of Story.

We didn't ask Jaxon to come and post this publicly so anything i have to say about them is no more than what they have already done.

I tried to warn the last affiliate manager not to send him upfront monies, but it was to late. he had already paid him, and of course never delivered the promises he has made.

Thanks mate but be asured i am not scared off by this sort of posting, what i am finding hard to swallow is the lack of moderation now on the GPWA, i know it needs to be transparent but jeez some things now are becoming standard practise and crossing the line, which in turn derails threads.

I will PM Michael later about this, probably best all round that i air my grievances in private with him as i am sure me and him will disgarree vehemently on the battle between transpancy and moderation.

There is some highly unprofessional behavior here, I don't see that name calling has a place on a professional board.

Also, if someone is accused of something, and then turns around and accuses someone else of something completely different - that's just a cheap way of trying to avert the issue. When I see someone doing that, their credibility is shot instantly.

As far as I know anyone can post a grievance here, affiliates post grievances with managers all the time, why shouldn't a manager post a grievance with an affiliate? What's fair is fair.

That said, affiliates charging placement fees need to be careful of what they promise. Everyone here is in business to make money, and casinos cannot be expected to pay for exposure that does no good. If you make promises you can't keep, be prepared to be shunned by the casinos. If you make an honest mistake and misjudge the results, refund the $ INSTANTLY.

I agree with this Dom but only in the event that promises are made, if no such guarantees are made then no refunds should be issued.

It also works both ways, if a spot is sold and no sign ups are made etc everyone loses, i have spots that i have placed ads on and nothing came from it and refunded even without any obligation, but if i left say google adsense on there i would have received say $30 a day.

Well anyway I decided to strap myself to my office chair, grab a pot of coffee, and fire up my system. As stated earlier I get quite disgusted to learn when other deceit people are deceived ripped off financially. I see it all the time 24/7. It is amazing how old rumors and untruths keep surfacing on the internet.

I remember that story, and it was false.

I agree emphatically with Chalkie, all credibility was lost when completely unrelated items were brought up (dredged up from the distant past even) in order to divert attention.

I think we have the facts:

Advertising was bought from a publisher and brought no return.

The guarantee was not honored with the excuse that the publisher would only speak to upper management.

There are two other places that are owed by the same publisher.

The publisher does not have the funds to pay up and promises to do so when he does.

That's what I get from this thread, except for a lot of unprofessional and intentionally hurtful nonsense.

Thank you Rick, both for your post, and for bringing the situation to my attention with the pm you sent me.

There is a line between letting folks share information and express opinions in a professional mannor and dragging discussions into the gutter. And while some of the discussion in this thread has been reasonable, some has also crossed the line.

At the moment I am not going to actually close this thread, but I will be monitoring it more closely. If I see any future posts that I view cross the line I will be inclined to suspend posting privileges of the appropriate person temporarily and conduct a poll to determine what members here feel is an appropriate duration for the suspension.
