Angry Affiliate sites should be banned from casino industry?

Whenever we search with any casino keyword. We can find most results from affiliate sites than true casino sites. The searchers should get the more real sites than those affiliate sites. Don't you think Affiliates should be banned from casino industry? Don't you think affiliate sites are making the casino world a scrap? Are we viewers getting any benefit from affiliates?

Tthe casino link in your footer contains more actual casinos (or casino resorts) than it does affiliates.

Not sure what that is meant to prove?

You are coming on an affiliate forum, and asking us to agree that we should all be banned from doing business? I don't think you will get many positive replies to this!

Although I will say that your thread title is at odds with your post - the title says affiliates should be banned from the industry. All that would require would be that the casino properties themselves don't run affiliate programmes. The fact that most do surely implies that they regard affiliates as a positive addition to their business - and their business is the casino industry that you refer to I think.

On the matter in your post, you seem to be concerned about Google's algorithm. Again, Google's business is satisfying the surfer. They live or die by how well the returned results to a search match what the surfer is looking for. If they measured bad bounce rates from affiliate sites, and lower bounce rates from operator sites you can bet that they would adjust their algorithm to address that problem.

The logical conclusion is that both the operators (Casino industry) and Google disagree with you.

Google has advanced search if you want to find something special.
I like Google very much, it helps me to find what I want for seconds. And usually all results satisfy me.

And your link in your sig shows there are many real landbased and online casinos than affiliate portals. So I don't see any problems to find real landbased or online casino.

And regarding affiliates, visit CasinoMeister forum, and you will understand how some affiliates are very important for casino industry especially for casino players.

If it were not for reputable affiliates reviewing the online casinos and sharing the good bad and ugly, the level of rip offs and rougue operators would flourish! Part of the responsibility of an affiliate is to give an honest account of a particular brand. If you search a certain casino and see several warnings about playing there, would you not be relieved that you did not invest your hard earned in them? I know I sure would.

An affiliate forum is hardly the place to ask this.

Search for any gambling term, and you get ****. Search for blackjack: ****. Roulette: ****. Find me one gambling term that doesn't return **** on a Google search and I'll be impressed.

If you want "honest" Google results, don't bother searching for gambling terms.

Affiliate site have better quality content, and are usually not as biased. Affiliate sites in my opinion add a great deal to the quality of the web.

Definitely not the correct forum to post this message on, when you search for an online casino how will you know which casino you are going to play at? Do you expect Google to monitor and regulate which casinos are rogue and place them in the correct order? And why would you want the casinos to make all the money, why not share some of the profits with the "little guys" trying to make a living? The affiliate helps guide you in the right direction to make the best experience for you in the online gambling world.

this is surely a joke post.

Just view any forum where there's a complaint about a casino with a positive outcome and the odds are great it will have been due to an aff.
Almost Here! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? I've a plan that can make that happen and it will likely also tell you every time the player is active within the casino.

That's got to be one of, if not, the most bizarre, disjointed and outlandish statements I've ever read.

Even the Biggest Clown on Internet Damian D wouldn't post such waffle.

You've got to be your socks man!

I had to re-read this a few times, but I have a feeling that the OP meant searching for the actual names of the casinos to find the casino they are searching for but coming across affiliate sites instead..

So for example, if I put "Rewards Affiliates" into google.com, and would get a bunch of affiliate sites instead of the Rewards Affiliates site...

or searching for "BMW Australia" and getting a bunch of affiliate sites or sites that have nothing to do with bmw, but are ranking for the term "BMW Australia"

I could be way off track but thats what I understood (after reading the question a few times).

Of course if I am incorrect then I would totally disagree... Affiliates are essential..

    Cheers

Silly me. I thought it was a fair enough question. Now either the guy is in the biz on some level or maybe he was just asking a legit question. Who knows???

IMO, the question itself is not insulting, but begs to be answered.

The reason affiliates come up in the searches many times instead of the casinos is that there are many of us, versus a few of them by comparison.

Many affiliates are way more talented in the area of SEO than most casinos, so it's almost a no brainer that if you're going to have a casino, you probably should have an affiliate program, or you are going to get cruxified by the competing casinos, and eventually go under via starvation for new players.

I'm almost 100% sure that the majority of casinos would love to see affiliates take a walk off a really high bridge, but it's not going to happen so they deal with us in the best way they can in order to get players and make some money.

If there were no such thing as affiliates, then each casino would simply be paying top shelf SEO people to kill the competition amongst themselves.
Pretty much a "Dog eat Dog" kind of thing.

Unfortunately for them, that wasn't the way the industry was built from the beginning. It's way to late to change now, so affiliates have value to most of them.

Except Grand Prive of course. LOL

We will see how long they last without affiliates, but I'd say less than 5 years at this point unless they relent.
Once all those players that they got from affiliates have moved on to new casinos, then I suspect they will collapse in a few years, get sold, merged, or one of the usual exits from the biz. JMO.

Clearly they were not getting the job with affiliates, so I don't really see how they will tow the line in long haul without them.
No affiliate program these days is suicide, IMO.
Strictly from a business perspective that is.
Better to make a little something, rather than to lose your ass!

Jim's argument is a fair one I think. Not one he'll ever win on this forum but I can see his point.

Some affiliate sites add considerable value and help players make a choice... some add little value or are misleading. I have sites I built 6 years ago and haven't had time to update - i pity the poor player that stumbles across any of these because they're largely a waste of space.

But that's just the nature of the internet - 10% gold 90% crap. Just have to deal with it and find the gold.
