good luck to all, i hear airports are still open in southern europe.

Stuck in Amsterdam until Monday at least... it's turning out to be a CAC Spring Break (probably as expensive as the Bahamas!)

Glad I passed on this one.... I mentioned to my wife that affiliates where stuck in Amster, she said "Glad you did not go huh?"

Hope those hung there can get a flight soon before the extra nights drain the bankroll.

bloody mess and the novelty of it all is wearing off fast.

    Hi All

    We're also still here.
Waiting to see what happens by the morning.
The cross country Europe thing could be interesting but still dont know if it will actually save time or resources.

Anyway, there are worse places to be stuck.
Do you guys have plans for tonight?
Euro Pub again? We should arrange a boat ride or something tomorrow.

For you guys who are still staying at the Kraz, maybe we can use the amount of rooms we have to bring down the price.
If you are still at the Kraz, let me know and at least then if we have to book more nights we can try save something on the cost (even like free wifi in the room should be easy to arrange).

Signing off from under a volcanic cloud.

The earliest I have been able to rebook my flight for tomorrow that was cancelled was on Wednesday. Hopefully the ash will clear enough that I won't have that flight cancelled also.

In the meantime, I'm mostly just hanging out in my hotel room working on various projects from here. Anyone who is around and wants to do something interesting, let me know. Steven was talking about possibly going to the Van Gogh museum. Anyone else left in Amsterdam interested in doing that?

Wow, this is just terrible and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you all get home asap. I could not image how my nerves would be holding up about now if I would have gone to the conference and got stuck for up to a week like some are saying.

I see one person posted on facebook that they spent over $3,300 on a taxi ride and showed the receipt.

Ditto - Eurostar just kicks you out.

Funny that I only live a 55 minute flight from Amsterdam but the quickest my office found was an overnight boat from Rotterdam to Newcastle and a train to Leeds Wednesday afternoon.

It could be worse - we could be in Prague or some place much colder.

May be getting a bit anxious! lol

    We're still here too.
Some people have been slipping out each day.
At the moment only Rome and Madrid seem to be staying open.
    Probably heading to Rome tomorrow.
