Can we get a list of the 20 Longest Serving Affiliate Managers?

Simply based on a usefulness these people have stood out for me :

- Nigel from Bet365
- Andrew from Bodog
- Renee fom RewardsAffiliates
- Scott from Bookmaker (although he's on 2 month leave)
- Martyn from CWC
- Shalke from Canbet

AMs are good - and been there 1-5 years - and programs are top notch.

I have a handful of other good programs but either the AMs have moved on in the last 12 months, or else I do not have a fixed AM, and seem to deal with 3-4 people within the program depending on what I need.

Pierrick Leveque seems to have been at Virgin forever, although I think he has been promoted away from day too day Account Management.

Tomorrow will mark me being an AM at Rewards Affiliates for 5 years. It's the only company I've worked for in our industry, and I've only ever been an AM here.

Yes. If you were only for six months with Rewards, I would have known that Rewards has a good AM, but I wouldn't have known if Rewards is also good if this good AM left the organization after 6 months.

Yes it does. I didn't want to open a discussion here on a personal basis - which AM is the best. I think that would be unfair. After all, we also do not discuss which webmaster is the best. I wanted to focus not on the quality of an individual, but on the quality of an organization.

Interesting little thread going here about who would be considered a top affiliate manager and does it reflect the affiliate program he represents !!!!

Most of the top affiliate managers that I know have no time to be posting all the day and every day here in GPWA or at any other top forum's.........

We are too busy helping webmasters to greater success and answering all their questions etc...........well thats my prime goal as a top affiliate manager and you can always buzz me on Skype 24/7 = ironman20001

I personally spread my time across the board and help up and coming newbie's and to the top performing guy's & doll's that I have grown to love and hate over the years.......lol

If you manage to complile such a list it be be interesting to know them and I probally already do !!!!!

Both guys have been with their respective companies around 8 years. Also, Lloyd at Brightshare probably has 6 or 7 years with that company.

There are plenty of folks that have been around as many years, but you'll be hard-pressed to find any with the same sort of longevity who've remained at the same company through the years.

Not sure how we'd get a definitive list of AMs tenure... you could do a poll, but there would be no way to verify the accuracy of the responses.

Here is my list of best managers:
1.Wayne from Fortune affiliates and he has been there 9 years.
2.Marcia from Brightshare ,I do not know how long she has been there but I have worked with her since 2007.
3.Shane and Cobus from Referback ,I have not done much with them in past because of the way they assign players but we did start about a year ago in a small way to build some business with them
4.Sacha from playshare ,I love this guy although he may not know it (don't want him to slack off lol).I guess I have worked with him since 2007 not sure when he started.
5.Martyn from CWC -When he is not in front of the mirror doing his hair he can actually get something accomplished!I have suffered with him since 2006-2007 actually it seems like he has been around forever .Seriously he is one of the best managers I have seen .

I have not worked long with these next managers but I would rate them as exceptional too

I have not Seen Nick Johnson on this list maybe because he is fairly new to me but over the last year with vegas regal he was excellent and helped in many aspects including coding, special banners, quick replies and an increase in traffic and deposits for sure. He is with bet phoenix now and is already doing great.

I noticed that online gaming AMs tend to be transient and I can understand. This industry is volatile and opportunities come and go in the blink of an eye. So one must expose himself to the most opportunities possible in order to grow and absorb the knowledge and experience required to become successful in this business.

I've been with Canbet now for almost 3 years on the dot, and before that was with another MG group for about 5 years.

Don't particularly like hopping around. I think it makes your job harder if you constantly move around and have to figure out how the company works before you can make decisions.

Sorry matey, but I don't completely agree with you here.

Affiliate managers that are posting on the boards ARE in fact "helping webmasters to greater success and answering all their questions etc" as you put it. Difference is, they are publicly answering, so in essence they are helping numerous affiliates at once, as opposed to a one on one exchange.

Probably a more efficient time management strategy, I would imagine.

Sure there are the occasional jokes and banter, but now this too is done en masse, as opposed to a one on one setting.

Surely uses up a lot less time having a central discussion where everyone can contribute and you can address issues once, and also, I think it's more inclusive.

If anything, I wish I could post on the boards MORE, but I don't have that many interesting things to say

I tend to agree with "Casinorep" - I think that because I've worked on various brands, both operator, and network side - and also across most gambling products - I've actually become a better affiliate manager, as I can identify with an affiliate on all levels, and not just focus on the brand that I'm promoting - as I have a broad understanding of the whole marketplace...

I think that it certainly does help when you know the "ins and outs" of your own company as Schalk has said - that way you know what you have to work with and can manage delivery within expectations on both sides *(i.e your partners, and your boss)
