We gamble for a living but only sports with Asian bookies. Used to bet horses in the UK but all the bookies useless, won´t take a bet and Betfair have no early market. The last time i bet in a casino was 20 years ago, never interested in the slightest, i find it hard to understand how people can get addicted to such crap!

Only Lotteries. So I don't gamble.

Now I will start to play binary options that is a sort of gambling too.

Actually Lottery is a form of gambling imho.
Because you pay for a ticket for a chance to win a jackpot so basically its the mother of all gambling methods, not different too much than slots as well...
even in Blackjack there is still a limited area where your skills will effect your results

Yep, it is the same. The only difference is that you usually have to wait a little more until you know if you've won something.

yep, ofcourse lotteries are a form of gambling, probably the worst form as well in terms of the return to player.

Yep, 50,1% return to player makes the stated owned lottery in The Netherlands and they're doing much better than the others, who just make about 35%.

I'm not much of a gambler, mainly because I'm crap at it and nearly always lose! If I need to write an online casino or sports book review for my site, I create an account to see what's in there and play a few hands of BJ or spin a few slots for fun money, but that's about he extent of my urges in that direction!

    Lotteries are a social/family/office entertainment.
People going once a week to buy a ticket are just buying some hope.
    Not gambling.
Is like buying a prize ticket in your child's school.
Very few people ruining their lives due lotteries.

That is because you've got to wait almost a week (or longer) to have the result. Playing on the slot machine is the same. With that difference that you've got the result within a split of a second.

We've decided to make this the poll of the week. But since it was posted as a question, but without an actual poll, I just added a poll so folks can cast a vote in addition to posting a response.

I do play several times a month at online casinos and also a bit of online poker. I normally just use the funds I receive from small affiliate payments (max $100 to $150). I very seldom cash out as when I do win a bit I tend to up my stakes to try for the big win. Eventually play it all back in over several hours. I can't play for pennies as it seems pointless, a bit like bungee jumping off your bed.

I like to play Poker and play online and also in real casino tournaments but only occasionally meanwhile as I simply don't have the time for long tournaments. Now and then a slot game can be also relaxing for a while. I don't expect winnings on that but of course take them happily if they come in

I play slots maybe once a week now, especially when there is a new Thunderkick or Netent release out. I have to test these games with real money before i can write a review.

Funny thing is, since I am an affiliate I gamble way less than before and my deposits have gone way down as well (from 20 to 50 each time to 10 euro max). I used to gamble nearly every day and also visited land based casinos at least once a month. I now know how hard it is to earn money online (and how good it feels) that it seems like such a waste to spend it on gambling. Somehow the money that I have earned totally as a result of my own actions weighs a lot more than money earned by a paycheck. So, effectively, my sites make money for me in more than one way.

I will also put a 5 or 10 euro bet on some football matches every weekend, just to make it a little bit more exciting.

    Good question.
In the past i was an online player and i belive there are many affiliates out there who start working in this field being a gambler before, anyway i almost forgot how to gamble online 2 years from now.
    My history is a funny/drama.
I was looking online for ways to make money and someone ( Stupid ) suggested to gamble online using the bonus ( like many affiliates suggest to their visitors now )

I started by ending almost addicted of that and then like all players do, when you lose your money you just navigate the main page of casino and while doing that i click on affiliate link. There i learn who would be the profit if i send players to casino and i started to think about affiliate bussines.
I lost some thousands and 25 % of those money are back because of stoping gambling and starting gambling affiliation.
Actually and honestly i am sorry that my profit is coming from bets of other players like me and everyone else in the past but this is the way how it works.
I have enough experience regarding slots, bonuses, and other stuff for players and i try to share with them in my website. The only thing i cannot share with them is what horrible thing is if they will be addicted.
I buy only some hopes weekly ( mega million and power ball ) and i dont feel addicted.
Actually i feel that gambling online has a really bad social impact and is not same like land based casinos. On a land based casino you cannot spend everything you have in your pocket but online surely you can spend all what is left on your credit card.

I too am surprised that there are so few players here.

If you don't play and learn the gambling experience what kind of authority could you be?

From the first deposit to the withdrawal process the only way to know is to do it yourself. Not to mention testing programs with affiliate friends to make sure it's tracking correctly.

There are many reasons for affiliates to play.
