Do you gamble?

I prefer roulette and sometimes slots for killing time. However, I gamble not for money, I work in this industry, so I have to play.

I do play just not very often. I play enough to keep myself in touch with the sites and what they're doing. I also worked in a bookies for a couple of years when I was in college so that has helped me a lot in my knowledge of sports betting, horse racing betting and punter mentality.

If you don't play and learn the gambling experience what kind of authority could you be?

From the first deposit to the withdrawal process the only way to know is to do it yourself. Not to mention testing programs with affiliate friends to make sure it's tracking correctly.

There are many reasons for affiliates to play.

I dont think you have to be a real player yourself in order to be a valid a authority, you can still learn about this experience & test the entire process from first deposit until withdrawal, check brand works on all devices, etc'.. and still give good opinion about the general gaming experience.
What makes you an expert is in fact that you've tested so many brands, on this aspect you are even above the average player

If I play slots I only really do it with my mum at a pub once or twice a year.
I don't mind a bit of blackjack if I'm at the casino. I'll play the lotto when it's a big one too.
I like the old poker night at my place every now and then with cheap buy ins.

Otherwise I'm not a gambler really.

Back when C-Planet would pay me into a casino account.. I would turn $100 into $500 just to be able to cashout, and more often then not I had pretty damn good luck! Every now and again Ill burn $20 playing online, but I try not to often. Now I do enjoy going to Vegas (more often Laughlin) and ill play through a good $500.. But that is only a few times a year!

I like a dabble on the weekend football and on the golf sometimes, nothing to major more of a fun element to keep it interesting. I go a physical casino probably 10-15 times a year and have a maximum spend in there which I stick to.

My in-laws are from Greek origin and the gamble more than enough LOL maybe that is why I am kind of put off by gambling.
