As it happens I agree with you, what I am going to say is about to make me the most hated operator but to be honest i dont really care.

Some of the sites operators on that list are complete dogs and have no place on it and if this will be a free for all I for one will walk away and have nohing to do with it.

As I have sai din the past I do not speak for the other operators but i have would like to see everybody have a voice with this new group if that does happen i want nothing to do with it.

And sorry but could not help but laugh at this bit

A quick look down that list and some of those programs are not considered professional at all, how you are going to convince everyone that you can attain these lofty goals is beyond me.

And i cant help thinking that this new forum is a way of bypassing all other forums.

But i will wait and see how this develops and hopefully i am proven to have been mistaken in my sceptism of all this

I hope so, i really do

Wow Shaun you are worse than me mate

But its a fair comment you have made and one that will be picked up by others.

But i am going to be fair and give this the benefit of the doubt, if it works that would be fantastic.

I noticed there have been 40 posts but i am unable to view any, suppose it is for affiliate managers only at this stage, also noticed not all programs listed their email addresses, early days yet and maybe they will click on to the transparancy thingy.

But enough of my negative bull, lets see if this is a good thing and mate i am sure if your involved you wont stay involved if it is not, that is for me will be the tester as i know at least 5 or 6 affiliate managers on there including you that wont stay involved with something that is not what it says it is.

Well, I have visited the GAP website and read the goals and objectives as stated on the website. Since I agree with the stated goals, I have signed up at the GAP forum.

If GAP is true to their stated goals, then I would expect to be granted access to the forums. So, I guess I will be able to find out first-hand whether their stated goals are their true goals, or whether the stated goals are just smoke and mirrors for different unstated goals.

After looking around a little further at the publicly available information on the GAP website, I can report that there are some members that are not affiliate programs.

Perhaps the most notable such example from my perspective is Alex Pratt.

Also, the public records show that Lloyd Apter is the forum administrator.

Lloyd is someone I respect, so I do view that as a positive sign.

There are some on there that i respect immensely and have done business with and still do, it certainly has some good people involved

But also some lets say representatives of dodgy outfits, sort of balances itself out

Hope we are allowed access to the forum, sort of negates the idea that its for affiliates also if we are not.

Also if there are some joined up there that are part of the group but are not affiliate programs then not sure what to make of it, could be a good thing but then begs the questions what is this group exactly if not just for affiliate programs.

Maybe affiliate programs and anything not affiliate, ie, like event organisers, software providers and so on.

Well, to be fair, they have to let all aff managers in to start, would be unfair for them to judge at this point who is good and bad..

IS hard, as competitors, how do you do that, without someone calling foul play?

    Again, we will see..

PS, I am a member myself and have contributed to the agenda

I agree that we need to have an even playing field but to have operators that are know to have screwed players and affiliates would just be a complete joke and I will walk away from it.

I have not seen the agenda but i added a number of items on to it.

Do you have a copy of the agenda that you can send oer to me???

As I had said in previous post it is very early days nobody really knows how this will pan out, for this reason the forums have been kept private so the operators can post in private instead of sending huge emails.

I am pretty sure that Alex has no access to the forums I also saw today that the newest user was a user by the name of the "Professor" and i understand that the only people that acccess are operators.

Well, I've set up a social group over at GAP called "Affiliate Haven." So, if any other affiliates sign-up over there, please join that social group so we know who we are.

I've already sent invites to some users over their to join that group in cases where I recognized the username.

    Default Hmmmm....

Seems to me it appears to be a ripe time for the pickings in this industry. After the CAP fiasco I'm not surprised to hear that someone or a group of someones are trying to create something similar to CAP.

That being said the last thing in my opinion that we need is a "Super Affiliate" group running the programs of some very legitimate gambling sites that have always run excellent aff programs already. I did notice in that group of 65 there were some gambling establishments that have excellent programs in place that are fair and always pay their aff's. I also noticed there are some programs that do not.

That said I really can't see this "Group" being beneficial for the Affiliates in the end game. I am sure there are some folks who will benefit greatly from this but I suspect it won't be us.

I think it would be better since it can, I presume, lessen the affiliate manager frauds in the industry. I read from other forums that some online affiliate managers are scammer and doesn't pay their direct affiliate members.

Also, with them merged together, the reputation of a good managed operator and affiliate would not be too confusing for seekers and reviewers.
