"I realise why you can't walk away from them but personally I feel it is essential that the devious actions of Bookmaker continue to be highlighted to protect anyone else starting to promote them. In addition, I think we must attack crooked behaviour by any operator in order to help prevent any despicable precedents from becoming contagious. Dont hold those two points against me. I am very much on your side, not arguing but discussing. For newcomers or those not overly exposed to Bookmaker, there are other options, even in the shrinking US market."

    Well Said!

Bookmaker, DetCRIS, DSI do make the terms reasonably clear and like most programs they are free to change them however they wish because they have the standard clause about doing this. What many of us didn't appreciate was the way it was introduced retroactively and the general attitude of the affiliate manager, who I used to get on well with in the past. What they have done and continue to do is legally fine, ethically/morally not so sure.

As for one affiliate telling another what to do, if you interpret it as advice rather than an order then it's not as offensive. Much easier to change your own attitude and actions than change some-one else's. So please, take this as advice not an instruction.

I agree. I have not read any affiliate on this thread telling or "ordering" another what to do. If I gave that impression myself then sorry. Anything I have said does fall into the categories of advice and opinion. I don't think anyone posting here should temper any strongly held opinions they have. Give it to us straight. I would not presume to tell anyone else how to run their own business. I have problems enough making decisions for myself.

anyone else got this email today?

As you may already know, Bookmaker has temporarily lost the rights to the Bookmaker.com domain. We are confident that in time, it will be returned to us, until then, we have launched a new, temporary site: bmaker.ag

Despite having lost the domain, none of the business operations have otherwise been affected. Player account balances and information are safe and secure. Effective immediately, players can log on to bmaker.ag and it's business as usual.

You likely won't notice any other changes at all and will experience all the same features and benefits as our original site; just on a new address.

We sincerely apologize if you were affected by our interruption. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please call our customer service department at 1-866-9Bookmaker.

F**king hell. I don't know whether to smile 'cos it's Bookmaker.com or be pissed off with another domain seizure. Bit of both, I think.

Can i take this opportunity to say a BIG THANK YOU TO BOOKMAKER.COM.

Thank you Bookmaker for ripping me off, conning me, failing to pay me and sending me abusive emails. If you had not been so totally corrupt and dishonest I would now be worrying like hell about the mess you are in. What's that saying about 'what goes around comes around'.

As it is I just have the BetUS fiasco to be concerned about . . .

This is ridiculous - will all US facing affiliates turn their attention to Europe now?

Whilst feel sorry for the employees, players and affiliates affected by the latest round of seizures, for the owners I just think it is karma...

BOOKMAKER CLOSED MY ACCOUNT & STOLE MY MONEY!!!!!!!
here's the mail I have just got from them:

I pray all is well with you and your family.
You not being able to log in, was a conscience decision made by corporate, to
close all affiliate accounts that simply were not producing the way we had
hoped when we began this journey together.
With everything that is going on within the industry. We feel that we have very
much held up our end of the relationship and you have not.
Unfortunately, you are one of many affiliates who when given the opportunity to
market us and earn commissions, for whatever the reason(s), simply could not.
I hope this has answered your questions.
But of course, please let me know if you still have any doubts or concerns.
    Best regards,
    Anthony T

I am really sorry to hear what has happened to you.

Unfortunately Bookmaker have been cheating, thieving criminal scum for a long time now. They will have seen how BetUS stole all their affiliates' players and closed their affiliate program. Bookmaker have, it appears, learnt from those criminals and stolen your money (I will never see the $5000 they stole from me long ago). I would think their action against you is the start of something that will end with the wholesale theft of all affiliates players and money. Unfortunately as the USA-facing betting companies are unregulated it can attract deviant crooks rather than honest businessmen. Certainly that is the case for Bookmaker and BetUS.

BetUS have cheated and stolen from affiliates. GPWA suspended them a while back after sustained pressure from affiliates. Two days ago BetUS announced total closure of their affiliate program. See this thread for full story:
    https://www.gpwa.org/forum/betus-gpw...ed-197817.html

Also, take a look at this link. It is the story of BetUS's behavior recently:
    http://www.bettingaffiliateprograms....-program-scam/

Corrupt Bookmaker are following the lead of the thieving BetUS by the sounds of it.

WOW, I never got an email from an affiliate manager that started out with "I pray all is well with you and your family."

It's always when they "owe" you $$ is when they start acting up. I havent promoted Bookmaker for 3 years now and am negative 600+ $. They would be more then happy if I would put them back up to get out of the hole. I have more sence then that. Just like BetDSI. First, was the -10% for deposits, then they Dropped from %25 to %15 cause you werent doing a good enough job "You have'nt done a good enough job promoting us" line (blame game sound familure?). Next after you get up they will start the "10 min player per week rule". At the end of they day they are using affilaites as "cheap bitches". Funny part is I see Dozer pulled them off the top 6 list at SBR so apperently, we are not the only ones they have pissed off.

At leaset you had a warning. BetJM just closed the Aff. account and didnt send any goodbye email. Just simply logged in and poof its gone. Good part about owning a sportsforum, in relation to a book review site. Is I have the power of the pen. Ther persuasion that brought the users to the book in the first place; will take them away in a form of a warning or a (certain book) is having payment problem post. Let google index several of those pages and see if those sportsbooks still want to play games. Easy enough to direct users to a certain book and easy enough to take them away. It only takes about a year of promoting to get another book back to relatively good speed.
