CJ although not having much contact with you at all I wish you all the best in whatever the future brings. I picked up on the vibes coming from here that you are well liked and respectable guy.

On that note kudos to Chalkie for standing up for what he and the GAU believed right. Would it have been such an issue if the said person namely CJ wasnt one of own so to speak?

    I think not.

Well Chalkie you certainly explained a few things I was not aware of as did CJ. I had every intention working closely with CJ and hope one day this maybe a reality. But until these matters are cleared up I will head for the high road.

Good luck CJ and thank you for having the courage to say what needed to be said. Not many AM’s if any would do the same.

Peter, you echo my sentiments in many ways.

I do wish CJ good luck and all the very best quite sincerely, i really do!

I am, however, quite perturbed by the whole scenario and quite unsure of the whole thing.

what kills me about cold calling is they usually want your home phone, which then means that's what they will call.

I know from my days as a bookie that it was no surprise at all (after the first few) for a husband to call in a bet and the wife to call in another (sometimes exact opposite wagers lol) and neither wanted the other to know about their gambling.

All these places do by cold calling is bring attention to the wrong people .... about the gambling.

    Stupid!!!

    not too mention classless
Almost Here! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? I've a plan that can make that happen and it will likely also tell you every time the player is active within the casino.

Did they pick random number from a phone book and called them? Because that would be cold calling.

If these are registered players, it's called an aggressive retention marketing strategy.

The Meisters warning regarding casino33 has been withdrawn. The Meister forum has been bleeping in and out existence over the last few days. Not sure why but appears to be fully up now.

Well this is quite a mess.

First, sorry it ended so badly for CJ. He was a good AM and deserves better from the companies he represented.

Secondly, Jack's a smart guy so when he began contacting various people (to warn them there was a problem at Casino33) he should have known word would eventually get out. He himself admits to talking with 5 of us. I know from private conversations, pm's and emails that at least five people from this forum were in touch with him and were warned there were problems. There was a thread started in the private forums on February 5th warning everyone that something serious was happening. Frankly, I'm surprised it took until the 10th for word to leak into the public eye.

Thirdly, the affiliates who made the news public should be applauded for putting the players first. If I was a casino affiliate and promoted casino33, I would have been one of those who made sure my players were aware there was a problem. It is my belief that we are morally responsible to keep our players as safe as possible. In my opinion, having that info but failing to act on it would be unethical.

We've all been burned by programs closing or retroactively changing terms. Too many of our players have been burned by rogue or underfunded casinos closing with little or no warning. I think it's amazing that the folks here had enough respect and trust in Jack to wait as long as they did before going public.

It's a shame the thread at casinomeister turned into a casino33 bash fest but that is a typical human response. When people smell blood, the gloves come off. Hopefully, casino33 can turn the tide and redeem themselves in the public eye.

I wish CJ nothing but the best. I know he's a fighter and he will land on his feet. I also thank him for having the moral decency to put his career at risk by giving us a heads up. If he ever joins another affiliate program, i would be thrilled to do business with him.

Good luck in your future endeavours, CasinoJack.

You were one of the most eager AM's out there, so it's a shame to see you leave AffStorm.

What a mess this turned out to be!

I hope this is a learning experience for all parties involved because a ton of damage has been done and it's not just to CasinoJack, but others industry folks that got involved. We are not GOD's that are to sit in judgement of others just because we have our ethics and unseen 'players' to cater to! Especially at the detrament of an individual we trust or ANYONE!

IMO we will never have another AM trust an affiliate organization with sensitive information if it's going to turn out like this. Detroying someone's livelyhood is serious business as it's been tried on me for years so I'm very sympathic to what happened to Brian and will support him where I can.

This reminds me of the situation with Michael and Alex, but no one lost thier job or went threw the BS CJ has taken over trying to do the right thing! Nor was a confidence BETRAYED ! It's unreal! I'm done with this subject!

Now guess what this effect may be...

Robin that's a tad bit harsh isn't it?

After all you are here without naming him Blaming the mess on Chalkie on what basis hun?

What evidence? CJ's word I assume. Which you just cannot do hun its not fair. Com-on your a very clever and intelligent girl sorry lady and you know better.

No let it go down on record that I am not for one minute saying that what CJ has obviously told you isn't the truth nor am I saying that Chalkies side of events isn't the truth. Unless both went and took oath in a legal courtroom only they will ever know.

So surely it best not to be posting in the manner you have.
For the benefit of those parties involved and us who are not involved but are seeing people we hold in high esteem being slagged left right and center

Default Damned if i do and damned if i don't really?

If i say nothing i am in trouble, if i say something i am in trouble

If i am given information in confidence it remains exactly that, in confidence.

It is pretty much black and white how else can i explain it

I AM TOLD THE CIRCUMSTANCES - I DID NOT ASK TO BE TOLD - I EXPLAIN I HAVE TO EMAIL MY MEMBERS - I WAS NOT ASKED NOT TO DO SO

Sitting back and not telling affiliates when there is a potential issue is not something i can do

The very fact that the other thread was started - Does that not give you a clue to who wanted the info to get out? Or do you think it was just for some people and tough on the rest?

It seems pointless to explain, because it is obviously clear that longevity of friendship outweighs all else.

    Wow Robin,

Are you saying that we all should have just kept our mouths shut and let the chips fall as they may?

Sorry, but that doesn't cut it with me. Those "unseen players" are our life blood. If we aren't here to cater to them and protect them to the best of our abilities, why are we here?

And if we don't rely on our ethics to make judgment calls, what should we rely on?

In my humble opinion, if one person has to suffer to protect the interests of many, it's an easy choice. If Brian did not want the info to be used, he should never have shared it. I think we all gave him the benefit of the doubt by waiting several days before releasing the news to the public.

Last time I trusted a friend and sat on harmful information, it turned out for the worst. I for one will err on the side of caution from now on. In this case I believe they've managed to come up with an investor or whatever they needed to get over their problems but what if they hadn't? How many players and affiliates would have lost their investments? How many thousands of dollars would have been deposited this week into a company that may well have been bankrupt?
