I would definatly say both , but Facebook is "better" - more options and people do spend more time on it than on Twitter.
I'm more of a twitter person but do agree there's a lot people who follow you with the hope of getting followed themselves.
Someone made the point of having their tweets automatically published therefore they never visit Twitter, I do this too. I just wonder what percentage of Twitter 'users' never actually visit the site once they've set-up auto-tweeting.
Facebook!!

I would say twitter its newer and has alot of hype you can link it with your facebook and it has alot of apps for it to help such as scheduling tweets

I have my Twitter connected to my Facebook. When I post on Facebook with a status update, a link, or most other activity, Twitter gets sent the update as well. This saves time posting to two places.
To get the two linked up, go to facebook.com/twitter
If I had to pick one though, I would agree with most here. Facebook offers so much more than updates, so that'll be the clear winner for me.
agreed I am following, and have a lot of followers but all I seem to receive is lots of crappy one liners offering everything under the sun. Facebook allows you to market to a group of individuals with (hopefully!) specific tastes.
I was hoping twitter would give me so many more results but I am still hoping.

I think Facebook is batter than the twitter, because it will give you the more functionality day by day.And these al functionalities are user friendly and you all are really enjoying it very well.the games and the other things are also play the important role in it.So I like the Facebook most.
I use both Facebook and Twitter, but I honestly don't see much value in Twitter. Everyone "follows" someone, but rarely read what they are saying.
I personally never used tweeter or how its called.
Used to be a FaceBook addicted till a few weeks ago. It offers what i need as an individual.
Even though it has lots of spams, u can ignore some games and this that pop up from time to time..., even daily.
I am really starting to dislike Facebook - all the apps and 99% are crap not to mention the increase in advertising. Yes I know Facebook needs to generate revenue - but at what cost. idk it's beginning to look alot like a banner farm to me and I can't stand the in between ads that appear way after the page loads. (clicked a couple by mistake ffs). Will likely just close my account.
A friend of mine mentioned me a movie, about how facebook began.
"The Social Network " is an interesting movie to see. If you watch this movie you will understand why facebook is now, what it is.The funny thing is what was it's purpose right at the beggining :P
Facebook and Twitter are not comparable though they are social networks as well it was said about comparing some fruits or vegetables.
Probably there is a major opinion about them. As for me I think they are useful if you want to share something with somebody, just as another advertisement. I know some people who are addicted to social networks and can't imagine their lives without, and though there are at least 2 sides of the medal. Anyway we always have choice what to, and if there is an option to use or not it's better than without options.
I'm not fan of both.
Let me know if you are seeking for high quality links
well I don't think you just pick one over the other. You utilise both
well, I use both Twitter and Facebook both for my personal usge and business marketing. In my opiniin, Twitter is somewhat better for direct interaction with clients (existing and potential).
I think it depends on what your goals are and who your customers are and what you are using these sites to do for your business. I would always use both, since they can be easily linked, but am starting to use twitter a lot more and think it can be a great method for interacting with your customer base. Though this can also be accomplished by facebook.
I really pick Facebook over Twitter. I never seem to get anything going on Twitter. I have over 1000 followers on Twitter, any many of them followed me on their own (without automated techniques). Still hardly any traffic..
Prefer Facebook multiple accounts for multiple domains. I have good success targeting small markets one city at a time. However, what I sell is non-gambling.

I've been using twitter for the past few months as it just seems a bit more accessible and easier to feed when you're starting from scratch. It's doing OK and I've got my blog posts automatically creating tweets. So far I'm quite happy; http://www.twitter.com/dublinbetaff
Now I'm moving on to facebook which is an altogether different animal. I'm not a huge facebooker personally so it's a case of getting to know how best to use it. As a new user it appears I need to have 25+ likes to unlock a few things, most notably a decent URL.
If anyone can help me reach 25 or more by liking me then please see our page here;

You'll need to be logged in to view it (another thing I think get's unlocked after so many likes).
I'm not sure I fully get how facebook can help me but it would be useful if it became another channel with which to communicate with our existing affiliates and to recruit new ones.
I'll keep you posted on how it goes![]()
