Twitter vs. Facebook

Which social network do you prefere? twitter or facebook?

I am using them both. However, I am more into using facebook lately.

Twitter for quick product and newsy updates updates (for me Twitter is a virtual mass "text" )

Facebook is for driving social interaction with customers or with affiliates. Some operators are really getting this right - in terms of using social media platforms to promote cross promotion and retention strategies....

Thing is - social media is more about the "discussion" and content rather than the medium / platform used to generate it....

I am NOT a twitter fan, and as many of you know, I love facebook and it's actually part of my job to keep up an active and exciting facebook page!

I'm using them both. Twitter providing much, much more traffic, but that is down to the large number of followers on there compared to Facebook, so I'm biased

I use Facebook mostly because it gives the feel to be appear on internet while on the other hand the twitter is also best but after using it I am not feeling that it is very much helpful for me to be its presence on internet.

It may be possible that Facebook is more famous in some countries but twitter is also more competitor.

To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of either of them, but I'd choose Facebook over Twitter.

I will have to agree with the above, for about two years I had a real extensive facebook page promoting my casinos, but watching referrals and conversions I saw almost none.

Although I still have a facebook page I really do not use it to actively promote, I still find better conversions with article directories and places like hubpages, but I guess like anything else what works for some does not work so well for others.

I'm a Facebook junkie I don't know what I would do without it! If twitter fell off the map I probably would not notice unless they posted the news on Facebook.

I see the personalized branding on Facebook as the greatest free exposure ever! It's the best way to network to date...IMHO!

I agree they are completely different...

BUT I have to say facebook. Twitter seems to be solely a place for advertisers to promote crap to other advertisers. People "follow" you, just hoping you follow them... So 99% of your followers probably dont care what you are tweeting!

In other words, I see twitter as a fad... facebook is the new google.

Facebook Is alot better for getting the message across because you can post more content on your status, Twitter is to small but still has its benefits...

From a business perspective, I think regardless of what avenue you choose, the key is offering quality content that will keep visitors coming back to your page, and to be conscious that the objective of using a social forum is to be....SOCIAL! Engaging with your clients, audience, etc., is what's most important

I prefer both because both are good social media sites. Recently, facebook achieved 10 page rank.

I guess facebook is better than twitter because, it has more ways to advertise your product like a fan page or a group page or a business page. It has has different type of applications where we can make friends with stranger by just inviting them to play or share an appication.
