I find that I am also using Facebook for communication with relatives, friends, & elderly aquaintences, & I like it! Twitter is for business, & to be honest, I am not seeing a great benefit to it yet. more vote for Facebook here! I did e mail him days ago with an invitation to join, but hadn't seen any movement on that. So not positive if you'll be wanting to touch base with him also to keep away from any confusion or duplication of account creation.

Regarding visitors geotargeting, twitter gives me a lot of UK and US visitors, some western Europe, FB provides me more with eastern europe visiots, strange to anyone?

Personally, it's twitter.
But there is no comparing the effect and popularity and options provided with facebook...
and I agree, as I see it, Twitter has not caught up equally in all countries, with US/UK ahead of the curve, and the potential for others to follow is limited, in a my eyes, too.
It's gotta be facebook, then. Like!

Solely depends on the purpose. I'd say Twitter is better in getting the news while Facebook is mroe interaction oriented.

Hello, I would say Facebook rules for many reasons, it is a mature product, an advanced portal for chatting, gaming, showing off, messaging, and maybe twittering soon!
I keep having trouble posting, I get an error that my post is short

I personally prefer Facebook. I found some interesting statistic about this to platforms, take a look below:
• 85% of users are on Facebook while only 49% of users are on Twitter
• 29% of users follow a brand on Twitter, while 58% of users have "liked" a brand on Facebook
• 57% of Facebook users have 100+ friends, which means if you engage with one, the likelier you are to get noticed by several more.
• Virtual personas are clearer on Facebook for obvious reasons, making it easier to target audiences and improve engagement

It's not a versus issue. From my experience I think you should be engaged on both platforms. In terms of getting real measurable and achievable results then Facebook is better in that respect. But if you market a tips site or a news site then Twitter on the fly is pretty good to interact with. Has anyone run any ads or competitions on Facebook or created a bespoke Facebook page yet?

I prefer Facebook.
When I created page called Blackjack Secret Code, many like it. But in Twitter, some of them just ignore my links.
