4.2 Subject to your complying with Paddy Power's instructions with regard to tracking customers accessing the Paddy Power Sites via the Links on your Site, Paddy Power shall use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that whenever a customer links to the Paddy Power Sites through these Links and they subsequently place a bet or otherwise transact with Paddy Power, the relevant customer is identified as originating from your Site. However, Paddy Power shall not be liable to you in any way if Paddy Power is unable to identify a customer as originating from your Site.

This appears to say that if you refer the player they will pay you for any transaction that customer makes.

On further inspection of their terms there is no mention whatsoever that

We do not offer cross-channel commission to affiliates as standard

There is indeed no reference to "cross channel commission".

What a crock of BS. That affiliate rep must have made this up.

As to this:

What I would say to you as a relatively new affiliate (at least to our program) is just to concentrate on building up the volume of traffic to start with, and your commission total will soon start to build. If you can generate 20 or 30 accounts like that one in the next couple of months, we’ll be happy to reward you with cross-product commission.

What absolute breathtaking arrogance.

"Once your players send us around £75,000, we'll consider paying you out on the basis of the contract you signed up to but that we really don't want to honour at this stage. Make us some more money first."

Thanks for all the input guys`n`gals. As it stands at the moment I still have NOT been paid by PP, but, mysteriously I have now got some earnings there for the original deposit.

My point originally was that their T&C's did not make it clear that they wouldn't pay cross promotions and I was incensed by the arrogant attitude of the affiliate rep saying that if I sent them more players they "might" consider paying me. If it had been made clearer at the start then I would just have had to take it on the chin.

It seems to me that some affiliate programs will do anything to get out of paying up what is owed and will only do so when publicly shamed.

If it were in the terms, written clearly, like at Ladbrokes, then that would be as I figured - not to my liking, but not necissarily unfair or rogue.

The problem that has arisen, is staff quoting terms that don't necissarily exist, but do cost the affiliate, and not the Paddypower.

Hi everyone thanks again for all your input and support. As of yesterday I HAVE FINALLY been paid.

This thread must of had some effect on them because I was phoned by them at home and asked if I would post on this forum to reflect that I had been paid.

Well it took a while and now I have so thank you all. It shows the power that affiliates have on a forum such as this. He also intimated that they would be changing their T&C's to make it all much clearer, but whether this has been done I don't know.
