Try clearing your cache then looking at the site.

You also might want to do a little research into what really is a "quality site".
Any site with 10000+ pages of link spam is far from a "quality site".

But hey... that is really up to google to decide, if this is a 'quality site' or not.. So I let them know about the link spam and the cloaking... Give google a couple of months and see what they do... You might not want that link so much then.

It is because others wanted to view your source by right clicking. Use the browser's View>View source or something like that feature.

This code prevents right clicking on your website:

    Code:
    <body ondragstart="return false" onselectstart="return false" oncontextmenu="return false">
Ondragstart: disable mark/copy/paste in recent popular browsers

    Oncontextmenu: Disable Copy/Paste ... (http://www.web-wise-wizard.com/javas...ght-click.html)

Onselectstart: By default, Internet Explorer allows to highlight text box contexts for further
copying it to clipboard. This feature can be blocked if to put the statement
    <body onSelectStart="return false">. (http://www.experts-exchange.com/Prog..._21689551.html)

It is not a cloaking script, it is not a spammer script. I suggest everyone who believes otherwise to study w3c.org pages about these HTML tag attributes.

This summer I'm going to Italy (I hope I will visit this perfect country), we may meet there if you want, and you will be able to talk to me face to face. And also I would like to visit one of Casino Conventions. But it's very difficult to get a Visa in my country, but no doubt, I will visit one of the conventions and you will also be able to talk to me.

I believe that this 'lonely girl' is a front for one of these.
Yes, agree with you. But there are millions of Russians, and there are different people in Russia (or in CIS countries). There are a lot of good people and a lot of bad people, like in USA, UK and other countries. I know USA, UK and other countries have also a lot of spammers, so from your logics you are a front of these spammers. I don't have any proofes, but I suppose you are an American, so you are a front for Americans spammers(from your logics). And from your logics, all Russians are spammers, am I right?

It's a wrong opinion, because I'm against spam!

Ok, no problem, but I again would like to ask you:"Who told you I was a spammer?" Do you have any proofes??? I see you don't like me and you are angry at me only because I'm Russian. But it's your problem.

To those of you that think I am 'barking up the wrong tree' or on the trail of the wrong people.

And most of these people also know me, I'm also an honest and I'm sorry to say that you are wrong. It's really pity that you don't know me. You would understand how you are wrong about me. I hope we'll meet at a convention, my spoken English is not very well but I hope you will understand that I'm not so bad.

I've working in online gambling since August,2005. I have been working only on my site 777-Online-Gambling.Net. Most people said to me that it was very stupidly to develop only one site, for example, CPays offered me to develop 20-30 sites, but I didn't agree. I prefer to create a one good site that to have hundreds of small sites. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's my biz.
And now you, lots0, tells me that my site is a spam network without any proofes. It's very offensive. When I was new to this business I made a lot of mistakes, but GPWA helped me to understand my mistakes, GPWA members opened my eyes on many things. So, how do you think, if I was a big spammer, would I be here?

So, lots0, calm down, I'm not your enemy, and moreover I'm not GPWA's enemy.

Thank you very much for the explanation, yes, I'm using this code
    Code:
    <body ondragstart="return false" onselectstart="return false" oncontextmenu="return false">
I read about it on one of forums GPWA or CAP, don't remember, yes, it prevents my site from selecting of my text and copying it. But you may see my source code by pressing CTRL+U in Firefox, or in IE just go to the menu "View->Source" And you will see my source code.

I guess this code would help in someone stealing your goodies, huh? I had a fool steal my entire site last year, I did get him shut down within a few hours but who knows how long my content was up and running. I may add this to my pages. Does it have any effect on spiders? I don not want to add anything that may hinder my site(s). Work too damn hard to screw it up.

It does not give any effect on spiders. I was recommended to use such code by webmasters of CAP or GPWA, if you want I may find this thread.

I couldn't see source because I was using right click on IE7. I can see the code if I use the page tools.

Lotso, I think it's time to give it a rest. I think you are on the right track with something that has been popping up in your business, but you ended up with the wrong culprit. Time to go and find the real one, we all want to know who that is and what exactly they are doing that caused you to go down this trail in the first place.

Since you and I worked together in the past pursuing an SE spammer, I know that you are just following where the trail leads, but Aksana got caught in the net by mistake and the real thing is still out there.

From what I can see, the only issue was that she didn't credit Bryan when she used his list. That is fixed now, and I have a feeling she will always give credit where credit is due in future.

I'd just like to point out that the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) provides remedies a copyright owner can take against a site owner when there is a presence in the United States.

If there is a copyright violation, then it is still a copyright violation, and is ethically wrong, even if the owner does not take action.

I want to make this clear because it is a violation of the GPWA code of conduct to copy material from another site, or to retain material copied from another site upon notification, even if the notification is not received from the copyright owner.

And I would also like to point out that duplicating copyright protected material from another site is a copyright violation even if a link is provided back to the other site unless permission has been granted by the copyright holder.

This will be my final commment on this thread because it seems that whatever is said is irrelevant to you!

You are talking of a private GPWA member here and any private member is subject to the rules and moral standards of the GPWA, this particular private member has the GPWA seal on the site in question too which means that she is accountable.

This should have been done in private by way of you raising your issues with the management of GPWA who would take any sustantiated claims very seriously and work with you and the member to solve. If you did this and then felt aggrieved then fair enough, make a crusade of it if you must!

You have gone about this in the wrong way, hence the continued support of Aksana from many people, in my mind you have also shown contempt to the whole of the GPWA and our principles etc.

In full - You are using our Forum to tear apart one of our members in public when you could actually use our organisation to help you if the problems you have are correct!

You may have 12 years experience in this industry, but that does not mean that you are always right or use the best methods!

How can anyone conclude anything other than the fact that you are on a lone crusade for some unknown reason?

You may not be aware that this is a fascistoid statement. Nazis sent 6 million Jews in the gas chamber saying the Jews are the largest group of bloodsuckers that must be eliminated.

Thank god that you don't live in Germany. Here you could be sued for this statement.

So please be careful about what you are saying.

I have always used right click, but IE7 also has a drop down entitled "page" that has a source option and I can see when I use that. Not a problem.

    Oh my, the Nazi bomb.

Lottso didn't kill anyone, Nazi comparisons are a bit out there.

It's more like racial profiling, where belonging to a certain group of people causes exaggerated scrutiny.

It is true that there are Russian spam groups.

That doesn't mean every Russian is a spammer.

Perhaps that is why Aksana ended up in the net, because Lottso is looking at a Russian spam group.

    That makes it racial profiling.

From what I can see, the only issue was that she didn't credit Bryan when she used his list. That is fixed now, and I have a feeling she will always give credit where credit is due in future.
I think Dom is on the right track here. Fighting spam is a constant battle and we are all on the same side to expose this. In this case I just don't see it.

Since it has been brought up in this thread, I would like to suggest a 'how to' in regards to reporting unethical behavior to the GPWA. I recommend a 'sticky' post with recommended instructions and time lines on how things will be addressed. Some webmasters may be unknown and some may be members/private members.

Not everyone may be inclined to read it but for those that are looking for the proper procedure it may be helpful. JMO.

This is the most sickening, stomach turning thread i have read in a long time, and i wish it would just end.

If the concenus here at GPWA is that everything is taken care of , and there is no proof of any other wrong doing, can we end this subject?

    Thank you
